Hello Friends 👋😊, it's Wellbeing Wednesday and today we're looking at PROCRASTINATION!!! The act of delaying doing something even if there could be a negative consequence, which includes increasing our stress & anxiety. We can all experience it but some more than others, so here are a few things I've learnt that I find helpful:
🌱 The 2 minute rule! Do tasks that take 2 minutes or less IMMEDIATELY!! It prevent small tasks from cluttering your mind.
🌱 Pair the thing you HAVE to do with the thing you WANT to do. ie. folding laundry, organising that cupboard etc. whilst listening to your favourite podcast, music or audiobook.
🌱 Break larger tasks into microtasks & only focus on the one smaller task that you've decided to do. It reduces the feeling of overwhelm & the task feels less intimidating.
🌱 The "Just FIVE More" rule ... 5 more minutes/ 5 more jobs/ 5 more sentences/ 5 more emails. It creates momentum & activates the brains reward system, by releasing serotonin & dopamine.
🌱 The "FIVE Second" rule. If you're struggling to start a task count back from five to one ... 5, 4, 3, 2,1 and then DO IT!!! Don't count one to five otherwise you'll keep counting & never get the job done 😂
Remember, if you're developing a project, writing a book or being creative in another way, sometimes you are procrastinating because it's part of your creative process and your next idea is still formulating, so give yourself space to allow for the creative process by practising mindfulness activities & simply breathe 🧡.
Have a wonderful week friends and enjoy finding your creative solutions to procrastination. 🧡

Hi Friends ☺️👋, it's Wellbeing Wednesday & today we're looking at the importance of having a digital detox (yes, yes, i know ... the irony of me using a digital device to get this message to you!!😁). We use devices in so many areas of our lives so they can't be fully avoided for a lot of us. I don't know about you but I can be happily scrolling one minute and the next I crash & then "doom scrolling" set's in and suddenly I feel drained of all positive life & energy!! So let's look at a few reasons why it's so important to embrace the power of a Digital Detox & what we can do:
🌱 Taking regular breaks from screens can significantly improve your mental clarity and reduce stress.
🌱 Set aside a specific time each day to unplug and engage in activities that nurture your mind and body, such as reading a book, going for a walk, or practicing mindfulness.
🌱 Reconnect with the world around you and discover the peace that comes from being present in the moment.
🌱Switch off from comparing your life with the lives of others & embrace simply being YOU without all the interference that devices can bring.
Have a peace-filled week friends ☺️💛

Hello friends 👋☺️, it’s Wellbeing Wednesday, and today we’re looking at Mindful Living. Mindful Living can significantly contribute to your well-being resulting in a more fulfilling life, by reducing stress, improving focus & concentration & enhancing emotional wellbeing. Let’s briefly look at 3 great practices that you can do TODAY!!
🌱 Reduced Stress - Breathing Meditation: Spend a few minutes focusing on your breath. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take slow, deep breaths. If your mind wanders, gently return to your breathing. This calms the mind and reduces stress.
🌱 Improved Focus and Concentration - Single-Tasking: Choose a simple activity, like drinking tea, and do it with full attention. Focus on the taste, smell, and movements involved, training your mind to focus & concentrate better whilst savouring the experience.
🌱 Enhanced Emotional Well-being - Body Scan Meditation: Sit or lie down comfortably, close your eyes, and slowly mentally scan your body from your toes to the top of your head. Notice sensations without judgment, and connect with how you feel and what emotions rise up for you.
Have a wonderful week friends ☺️💛
