COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS — No. 23
“How often should I do it?”
Answer one: regular maintenance.
A useful question to ask yourself is: what kind of 75-year-old do you want to be?
How often should you exercise, stretch, eat well or brush your teeth? We understand that looking after ourselves takes consistency. The benefits come from the habits we maintain over time.
Yet when it comes to recovery and wellbeing, it’s tempting to hope for a different answer:
“Five sessions, and your health is sorted for the next 40 years.”
If only. We’d all sign up for that. 😂
The honest answer is that frequency depends on the treatment, your goals, your health and how you respond. More isn’t automatically better, and no treatment replaces the foundations: movement, nutrition, sleep and recovery.
Think long-term care, realistic expectations and a routine that works for you.
There is a separate answer for people seeking support for a specific injury or diagnosed condition. That requires an individual approach, appropriate clinical guidance and a suitable treatment protocol.
We’ll cover that in question 24. 👊
