Wow. What a day. 🥵🏃‍♂️

Edinburgh definitely brought the heat today… but we showed up, dug deep, and got it DONE.

What a way for Tribe to spend a Sunday. Proud doesn’t even cover it.

Huge shoutout to my incredible clients and friends, Josh, Greta and Wilf absolute machines today. 👏

Now it’s time to rest up, refuel and recover… because that was a BLOODY hot one. ☀️🔥

Strength training isn’t optional.
And I don’t mean that in a dramatic, shirt-off, scream-at-the-camera fitness influencer way.
I mean it because I genuinely think, if you’re a human being, you should be doing some form of strength training.
Not to look like a bodybuilder.
Not to chase a six-pack.
Not to make fitness your whole personality.
But because one day, your body will ask more of you.
Can you get yourself off the floor?
Can you carry the shopping?
Can you pick your kids or grandkids up?
Can you help someone you love if they fall?
Can you trust your body when life suddenly needs you to?
I speak to so many people in their 30s and 40s who already say, “I’m getting old now” or “my body’s knackered.”
And I get it.
Kids. Work. Stress. Poor sleep. Life being life.
But weakness doesn’t arrive overnight.
It creeps in quietly.
You stop doing things because they feel hard.
Then hard things become impossible.
Then your world gets smaller.
And that’s the bit I care about.
Strength training builds muscle, supports your bones, protects your joints and gives you confidence in your own body.
You don’t need to train like an athlete.
You don’t need to smash yourself every session.
You don’t need to wait until you’re fitter before you start.
You just need to start.
You’re not too far gone.
You’re just undertrained.
And that can change.
At Tribe, this is what we coach for.
Not just weight loss.
Not just sweat.
Not random circuits for the sake of being knackered.
Bodies that can handle real life, for longer.
That’s the goal. 💪

Because Tribe isn’t built on fancy marketing.

It’s built on real people, showing up in real life, with real jobs, families, stresses, injuries, doubts and busy weeks…

People who didn’t walk through the door already confident.
People who were nervous to start.

Tribe is now fully booked until at least June.

And it’s a strange one to even say out loud, because this was never really the goal!

The goal was always just to build something that actually works 🫡

A place where people don’t walk in guessing what to do.
Where they’re coached properly.
Where they feel looked after, but also pushed when they need it.
And over time… that compounds…

People stay.
They bring others in.
They get incredible results that stay.
They start to enjoy training again.
They love everything about what training does for them 😃

And before you know it, you look around and realise the room is full!

If you’ve been watching for a while and thinking about starting, just keep an eye on things over the next few weeks.

“What is your goal?”
I asked the members here, at Tribe, to write what they’re showing up for this week.

Simple question.
But look a little closer…

It’s not just answers on a board. It’s perspective.

“Be strong as f***.”
“Run my first marathon.”
“Longevity.”
“Feel good.”
“Confidence.”
“To live for my children.”
“To not live on meds.”
“To be present.”
“To hike mountains.”
“To reverse my health condition.”
“To be the oldest in the gym… not the youngest in a care home.”

None of these are the same.

Different ages.
Different starting points.
Different battles people are fighting quietly.

But they all choose to show up.

That’s what matters! ☺️

Because this place was never about creating one type of person.

It’s about creating an environment where any goal is valid.
Where someone chasing their first 5k stands next to someone chasing strength…
Where someone rebuilding their health trains alongside someone pushing performance.

No judgement.
No mould to fit into.

Just people, putting in the work, for reasons that matter to them.

And when you bring all of that together…

You don’t just get a gym.

You get a culture.
A standard.
A Tribe!

And in that environment, something powerful happens,

You stop comparing…
and start becoming.

Most people think they need more motivation…

They don’t

They need a better reason

You can download the perfect program,
train at the “best” gym, have everything mapped out for you..

And it still won’t stick…

Because deep down… it doesn’t actually mean enough to you.
And blaming the lack of motivation to do the thing isn’t the root reason of it all.

Because when what you’re doing lines up with something real in your life
That’s when things change..!

Being fit stops being about weight loss or looking better
It becomes about:
Keeping up with your kids
Having energy all day
Feeling confident in yourself again
Not holding back from life to do incredible things in this world

That’s the difference!
(And the biproduct is… you’ll look exactly how you want to as your training and eating habits align with the values you have)

Motivation isn’t something you go and find

It’s something that shows up
when you finally give yourself a reason that actually matters.

That’s what I focus on at Tribe when I coach you.

Not just getting you training

But giving you a reason to actually stick to it 🤝🫡
