Hi everyone, some of you probably wondering where I’ve been, I’ve just come out of 2 years of Hell , one of the toughest and most painful times of my life, I’m out the other side and I’m back available to teach again now 😊
After years of enduring constant pain and pushing through my training sessions, everything came crashing down two years ago. It hit me like a truck—I could barely walk, trapped in immense agony and immobility in my hips and knees. Most days, I was confined to the sofa or bed, unable to escape the relentless discomfort.
I finally sought help from my doctor, who referred me to the hospital for X-rays on my knees and hips. When the results came back, I met with the specialist, who delivered the tough news: severe arthritis had ravaged my joints. All the cartilage was gone, my hips were uneven and prone to locking, and my kneecaps had crumbled, shifting out of alignment. He was clear—they all needed replacing. The diagnosis left me devastated; I’d gone from a highly active life to one where even basic movement felt impossible.
I was placed on the waiting list for my first hip replacement, which happened just three months later. It was the most excruciating experience I’d ever faced, and the thought of the long road ahead weighed heavily on me. But I pressed on. Over the next 18 months, I underwent four major surgeries: both hips and both knees.
Now, on the other side of it all, I’m deep into rehabilitation, back in the gym, and filled with optimism about reclaiming my life. It’s been a grueling journey, but I’m stronger for it and excited for what’s next.
Thanks to all my family and friends for my support and thanks to The Lincoln Hospital, fantastic surgeon and staff,
