Exam season is upon us and I arranged for the fabulous Lucy to come along to give our senior dancers a run through for their Contemporary exam.
It's always good to have a fresh pair of eyes on syllabus work and the girls really enjoyed taking her notes on board. Time to smash the exam now 🤩🤩

Did someone say we're off to Grand National Champs?!

First time as a bigger entry (still not all of our comp team) competing at MISI Leicester and what a fabulous day we had!

33 dances entered
22 Qualified for GNC 🏆

10 1st place 🥇
7 2nd place 🥈
5 3rd place 🥉

Plus judge's awards to
Elissia - highest scoring age 6-7
Bellarose - highest scoring age 10-11
Amelia - highest scoring age 12-13
Elissia and Bellarose also won their Improv sections

I'm so behind on posts, but we need to celebrate how amazing our Juvenile comp team were at the WNPAF comp!!
Look at their haul of trophies for their groups & solos and some being as young as 4 years old, this is a huge achievement!

A special extra mention to our little star Elodie who was awarded Most Promising Juvenile from the whole competition, amongst winning most of her sections as well!

Next up to celebrate are our Inter & Senior teams!

These beauties walked away with many Group awards, including 1st place for The Handmaid's Tale with choreography by the talent that is Beth
They also claimed 3rd place for their fabulous Diamonds group & 3rd place for the Madness group as well.

They certainly work hard with their groups and last night, they were straight back to it with a new routine which looks set to be incredible!

Awards were received for solos, duets, trios & groups within this age group.

I can't list every single result as there are far too many - but we all know how successful they were!

🤩🤩🤩 If your child is aged 8, 9 or 10 and is interested in joining our dance competition team.....NOW is the time!

I'm looking for additional dancers to be part of our Junior age groups, ready to learn new choreography for new groups for the next season.

This is a fabulous extra part of the dance school, and the dancers build such special bonds together and have the best time dancing as a group!

Rehearsals for groups are on Wednesdays at 5.00-5.45pm.

Student Success 🤩🎉👏

This young lady is one of our most diverse dancers we have; being accomplished in ballet, acro, street, lyrical, modern jazz, contemporary, singing & acting.

She had 9 solos, 2 duets, 1 trio and then 8 Groups to compete with this weekend.

She didn't falter with a single one and was awarded a placing with nearly every single routine.

Not only that - but she was also nominated to perform in the Bursary with her Character solo as choreographed by Beth; with the adjudicator saying she was captivated by her performance and characterisation and was quite scared by her staring deep into her eyes.

After smashing her Bursary performance, Delilah was also awarded the Most Promising Inter trophy as selected by the Adjudicator.

A very successful competition for this dancer and I'm excited to see her continued success 👏👏
