INDOOR BOWLS – YOUTH PARTICIPATION (14-25 years)
The Lincoln & District Indoor Bowling Club, Hall Drive, Lincoln,LN6 7SW is actively seeking young people between the ages of 14 and 25 to attend indoor bowls coaching sessions on a Friday at 6.30pm between 19th July and 23rdAugust 2013.
Although the typical image of bowls is that of an older person’s sport, most of the top ranked players in the game are below 40 years of age and despite the current economic climate, opportunities to earn prize money from the game are on the increase.
Not every youngster likes to participate in mainstream sports (football, rugby etc) which are typically expected of all at school age. Many youngsters will resent having to participate but may find a more sedate but very skilful sport more to their liking.
We believe that indoor bowls provides a great alternative opportunity for young people to get involved in sport and combine any natural skills with a good technique (which can be coached at the Club)
WE ARE OFFERING FREE COACHING FOR BEGINNERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 14 and 25 ON A FRIDAY EVENING FROM JULY TO AUGUST AT THE CLUB IN HALL DRIVE.
