Southern 100 Road Races Race Day 1
Two fantastic finishes from Ashley yesterday evening.
18th place on the Aprilia RS660 and getting more comfortable on the bike & she was able to knock 5 secs of her lap times on the bike.
600 wise she finished 16th and again improve her lap times by 3 secs from the practice sessions.
This morning she been reliably informed that she has now become the fastest woman around the Billown Course with her 2.38.45 lap.

RACE DAY 1 DONE ✌️

Now we've been fed time for an update!

Race 1 – Supertwin | P18 🏁
PB Lap: 2:40.24 ⏱️

Let myself get a little bullied into Turn 1 🙄 but we move, got the head down, pushed on & clawed back a few positions, coming away with a new PB on the twin. The Reckle55 Racing Aprilia and I are really starting to gel, and I'm buzzing to have taken 5 seconds off my qualifying time!🙌

Race 2 – Supersport B | P16 🏁
PB Lap: 2:38.45 ⏱️

After a quick rest, it was back out on the ZX-6. Got a solid start, made up a good few places, and although I made a couple of silly mistakes in the last two laps, I'm really happy with the result. The goal was to get under 2:40... and that's what we did 💪

Overall, a really positive race day. Plenty of positives to take away and I feel like there's still more in the tank for tomorrow!
