Introducing Westhorpe Run Community 🤍

Thank you so much for all the interest in running from Westhorpe. We’ve had such a lovely response that we’re going to give it a go and trial two weekly community runs to see what works best for everyone.

Wednesday evenings
Meet from 7pm
Run starts 7:15pm

Sunday mornings
Meet from 10am
Run starts 10:15am

Westhorpe Run Community is all about creating a friendly local running community where all abilities feel welcome.

We’ll have run leaders, different pace groups and routes and, most importantly, no one gets left behind.

For our Wednesday evening runs, please bring a head torch and something reflective/high-vis as we’ll be running in the dark through the winter.

And if you fancy making a bit more of it, the sauna will be fired up after the run and available to pre-book, so you can finish with a lake dip and sauna.

Everyone taking part will also need to complete a short waiver before their first run.

Our final Moon Swim of 2026 🌕✨

Join us on Saturday 26th September, 5–8pm for one last special evening at the lake under the Harvest Moon.

With an earlier start to make the most of the September sunset, expect a beautiful evening swim, a relaxed atmosphere and pizza included afterwards 🍕

🎃 STALLHOLDERS WANTED! 👻

We’re planning a Halloween Family Fun Day at Westhorpe Watersports on Saturday 31st October and we’re looking for some brilliant local businesses and makers to join us!

We’d love a variety of stalls and offerings — think handmade gifts, sweet treats, crafts, children’s products, Halloween goodies, local produce and more.

Would you join a Westhorpe Run Club?

We’re thinking about starting a relaxed weekly run club from Westhorpe Watersports in Marlow, likely on a Wednesday evening.

The idea is simple: meet at the lake, head out together with different pace groups, then finish back at Westhorpe for a drink and a catch-up.

We want it to feel welcoming whether you run all the time, you’re getting back into it, or you just fancy having some people to run with.

At this stage we’re just gauging interest, so tell us below:

Join us on Saturday 26th September, 5–8pm for our final Moon Swim of the year, under the Harvest Moon.

With the earlier sunset, we’re starting a little sooner this time — giving you the perfect excuse for an evening swim, good food and one last special September night at the lake.

Summer’s not over yet ☀️

The lake is still warm, the evenings are still light, and there’s still time to try something new.

We’ve got 30-minute tows available this Thursday and Friday — choose from wakesurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing or kneeboarding and come and have a go behind our new boat.

Never tried before? That’s absolutely fine. A 30-minute session is a great way to give it a go without committing to a full hour.

Or, if you’ve been meaning to get back out on the water all summer… consider this your sign.

🌕 STURGEON MOON SWIM – THIS FRIDAY! 🌕

It’s not too late to join us for what could be our final Moon Swim of the season ✨

Join us from 8pm this Friday for an evening swim under the Sturgeon Moon, with:

🎶 Live music
✨ Glow sticks
🔥 BBQ
☕ Hot drink
🌕 And hopefully a beautiful full moon over the lake!

Spectators are very welcome, so bring friends and family along to enjoy the evening with you. 💙

🏊 Our normal Friday evening swimming session is still running beforehand, so you can still come along for your usual swim if you’re not joining the Moon Swim.

We may squeeze in one final Full Moon Swim at the end of September, but that one will be weather dependent and confirmed nearer the time. 👀 Keep an eye on our socials for updates!

Our paddleboard area has had a serious glow up ✨🏄‍♀️

Tonight’s swim session is running as normal, but we’re making the most of the eclipse with a little extra treat…

🔥 We’ll have the BBQ fired up after your swim!

Come down for your usual evening dip, then grab some food, settle in by the lake and enjoy the atmosphere as the eclipse takes place.
