Thingwall crown green bowling club - liverpool

We have now reformed our club with a new committee. Anyone can come as a guest and pay £5 per week for the next three weeks. If you wish to join as a member then we are charging £3 for each of the weeks left until end of the season which from next Sunday, 30/07, which works out at £24.

Thingwall Tennis and bowling club is having a grand opening this Sunday at 2 pm. It is situated on Thingwall road L15 opposite the bus stop near Wavertree Nook road between the houses. Lovely to see you there 😁

Look out for the Thingwall Tennis and Bowling club opening. This is based in Thingwall road, Wavertree, Liverpool. The pavilion is currently undergoing renovation but hopefully all will be open in the summer. Certainly the tennis is open now and the bowling will be open around June.

The bowling green and pavilion are currently being refurbished but watch this space as a big launch is going to happen in the spring

Obviously since lockdown we haven’t opened up the green yet. There is also refurbishment going on at the pavilion so when that is done we will provide updates as to when. Also, if you are local we will be recruiting new members both men and women. So if you are craving fresh air, exercise (bowling is not for the feint hearted despite people thinking it is an old people’s game, it needs stamina)
Then, when we are open put aside a couple of hours on a Saturday to come and give it a go. There are usually players there from about 2 pm onwards who can show you the ropes.

Our new season begins in about 4weeks. Come down on a Saturday afternoon and try it. Great fun and good exercise.

We desperately need new members men or ladies, young or retired. This is a traditional club in the heart of the Garden Suburb in Wavertree, Liverpool. It doesn't have a licensed bar but if you want to give bowls a try come down on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and have a go, its only £1.
