During , it's important to acknowledge that gym anxiety can be a real struggle for some gay men. Society's expectations of appearance, body ideals, and fear of discrimination can create barriers.

The fear of discrimination or harassment can be a significant concern. While progress has been made, discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals still exists in various contexts. Some gay men may worry about encountering homophobic or transphobic attitudes at the gym, which can create a hostile and unwelcoming environment. These concerns can prevent individuals from feeling safe and comfortable enough to fully engage in their fitness journey.

It is important for fitness spaces and the broader community to foster inclusivity and create safe environments for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. By promoting acceptance, providing diversity training to staff, and actively combating discrimination, gyms can become more welcoming places for gay men and other marginalised groups.

β€œI am currently wearing shorts I couldn't get past my thighs last summer so thank you so much!”

Said the Bride to her Personal Trainer from her honeymoon in Bali!

The then Bride to be Sara started with me back in September β€˜22 with a clear goal - to fit comfortably in her pre-lockdown tailor made wedding dress by May β€˜23!

Sara was on a mission and has been a super committed client from the get go. She jumped straight in with a complete nutrition overhaul before even lifting a dumbbell - fuelling her body properly for the training sessions to come.

So made up with her progress on her journey she enrolled her bestie into training too! Affectionally nicknamed β€˜Double Trouble’, they have supported one another all the way and through every challenging milestone.

Both have stayed committed, dedicated and disciplined - just look at the before and after pics!

Although not so much a fan of the good old battle ropes - Sara smashed her goal and some! πŸ’ͺ

A huge congratulations πŸŽ‰ to and on your marriage! Wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness and battle ropes!

You might be saying to yourself β€œI can’t afford a personal trainer,” but making only a few lifestyle changes can help you to afford these services.

Bottom line - when you spend your money try asking yourself: How is this item or service going to benefit me now and in the future?

When it comes to your health & fitness, think about the last time you or someone you know had an injury: how much did you spend on treatment, medication or physical therapy to get you back to regular health?

Flip the switch! Instead of totalling up the cost of healthcare, look at the cost of PREVENTING those injuries from ever happening.

Personal Training is a way that you could pay to prevent those injuries and avoid all the hassle and inconvenience. Plus the cost is worth the immediate as well as the future benefits!

Example: you pick up a takeaway coffee every morning on your way into work. Forgoing a standard latte could save you up to Β£70 a month!

Making simple lifestyle changes can not only help you save money, but also help you improve your health and prevent expensive treatment in the future.

Unless you’ve received nutritional advice…




I can pretty much guarantee that you are not hitting your daily protein requirements.




There’s a lot of conflicting advice out here in the streets … so I’m going to simplify things for you:




Your daily protein goal for weight loss:

Goal weight in lbs X 1 = grams of protein required per day.

Example: Goal weight 10 stone (140lbs) = 140 grams of protein per day.

Allocate approx 30g to each main meal to hit the majority:

Breakfast: 30g
Lunch: 30g
Dinner: 30g

Supplement with a 25g Protein Shake = 115g of protein. Leaving you with 25g to source … another shake anyone? πŸ™‹
