4 sessions of saline tattoo removal and here we are… ☝🏼🤌🏼

My client came to me after having her lip blush carried out elsewhere. Unfortunately, the pigment had been implanted well outside of the natural lip border, was heavily saturated into the tissue, asymmetrical and had healed extremely patchy.

Following this photo, we completed one final (5th) saline removal session to soften the remaining pigment on the left-hand side of the lip. Each session was spaced approximately 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal properly before the next treatment.

In August, we’ll finally create the soft, natural lip blush she originally wanted 💋✨

Saline tattoo removal is an excellent option for correcting unwanted permanent makeup and many small body tattoos. It is particularly effective for lip pigment, where laser treatment isn’t always the preferred choice, and we’ve achieved some incredible transformations using this method.

✨ If you’re a PMU artist and don’t currently offer saline tattoo removal, this is a skill that should absolutely be part of your toolkit. Not every client is suitable for a cover-up, and being able to safely lighten or remove pigment gives you far more treatment options while allowing you to confidently manage correction cases from start to finish.

Our client had previously been left with unevenness, lumpiness and asymmetry following treatment elsewhere.

Using 0.7ml of fine dermal filler, we focused on creating more central lift, refining the lip shape and improving overall symmetry while keeping the result soft and natural.

Correction is not always possible in every case. Each client must be assessed thoroughly during consultation so we can recommend the safest and most suitable treatment plan for their individual anatomy.

We treated the cheeks, chin and jawline to create a more balanced, defined and naturally contoured profile.

For this client, 0.7ml was the perfect amount to create definition and hydration without looking overfilled. Every treatment is tailored following a full facial assessment, because no two lips or faces are the same.

18 months without tox… and this is the result after just the initial treatment.

These before and after images were taken before her complimentary review appointment, where we carried out a small top-up to refine the remaining movement.

We treated all 3 upper-face areas:
• Frontalis (forehead)
• Glabellar complex (frown lines)
• Lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet)

At the initial appointment, our goal isn’t to completely freeze every muscle. Instead, we assess how each muscle responds to treatment before making any small adjustments at review. This allows us to achieve a balanced, natural-looking result while preserving appropriate facial expression.

You can already see a significant reduction in dynamic lines (the lines that appear when making facial expressions), alongside smoother skin and a much softer appearance. Following her review appointment, the remaining movement was refined for her final result.

Every face is different. Muscle strength, facial anatomy, previous treatment history and metabolism all influence both dosing and longevity, which is why treatment should always be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

This result was achieved by first dissolving previous filler before carefully refilling with 1.1ml of fine HA dermal filler using our signature technique for a softer, more balanced finish.

We’re also seeing the beautifully healed result of the chin, where 1.1ml of Sub-Q dermal filler was used to strengthen projection and support the lower face.

The goal is never to look overfilled—it’s to restore structure, enhance your natural features and create a fresh, lifted profile that still looks like you.
