After 4 years at The LAB, we’ve unfortunately had to part ways 💔
Although I’m sad to be leaving, I’m taking so many great memories, lessons learned and friends for life with me
Thank you to the clients who put their trust in me, the PTs & staff who have supported me through all of the highs and lows and the members whose small interactions helped me through the early mornings 🤝

Already you may feel like last weeks aspirations are fading and your goals are starting to look like next year’s problem…
A big mistake to make when setting goals is setting your expectations of yourself too high, which will likely result in you flipping the table and pushing yourself back another 12 months.
Unfortunately, you can’t click your fingers and be the ideal version of yourself. Instead, change comes from focussing on the small things you do everyday.
If you’re struggling to get going, think of the smallest step you can take in the right direction.
That could be:
Buying a new gym top
Prepping food for tomorrow
Hitting a step goal
Remember, big results come from small, everyday actions

Make sure your sessions are PRACTICAL before you start thinking about OPTIMAL 🏋🏻
The vast research and rules behind exercise can sometimes have you feeling that there’s too many factors to consider and that reaching goals is a complicated process 🙃
Rest Times are no exception!
This post is an example of what research says is optimal but, for the majority, just simply won’t fit into our routines.
Most of us don’t have hours on end to spend in the gym but even if we did, the thought of it is enough to opt for a night on the couch instead 😴
Not everything has to be optimal, just make sure you’re consistently turning up and progressing on most sessions 🚀
