🏉 U14s | Friday Night Lights Victory 🏉
Sefton 36 - 7 Widnes
A fantastic performance from our U14s under the lights on Friday night.
Widnes arrived with a strong side and, speaking after the game, their coach commented that they hadn’t been beaten in two years. Credit to our lads, who produced another outstanding display and carried on the momentum from last week’s victory.
The game started with a real physical battle up front, with both sides testing each other through the middle. As the game opened up, the Sefton back line showed exactly what they are capable of and played some excellent rugby to pull away on the scoreboard.
Most pleasing of all was the attitude, effort and teamwork shown throughout the squad. The lads continue to improve every week and are working hard for each other every time they pull on the Sefton shirt.

🏉 U12s | Friday Night Lights
A tough game under the lights against a very strong Widnes side on Friday evening.
Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The lads showed great team spirit throughout, worked hard for each other and never stopped competing until the final whistle.
These fixtures are all about learning, developing and preparing for the Lancashire Cup campaign ahead. The progress this group is making week on week is there for everyone to see, and their commitment and determination will continue to drive them forward.
🏉 Players of the Match
👏 Harry – Incredible effort and relentless commitment throughout the game.

Some huge driving carries that put the opposition under pressure and showed exactly the aggression and determination we love to see in a Sefton shirt.
A big thank you to Widnes for a competitive and enjoyable game under the lights.

Every player played their part and the boys can be hugely proud of what they produced today. This is exactly what all the hard work on the training pitch is about. 👊

Today our U9s welcomed Burnley to Sefton for their first full-contact game of the season.
As coaches and parents, we couldn’t be prouder of the commitment, courage and determination shown by every player. It was fantastic to see the hard work from training being put into practice, particularly in the tackle area, where both teams showed great commitment throughout.
A big thank you to Burnley for making the journey and helping provide such a positive and competitive start to the season.
Overall, a fantastic game of rugby and a brilliant way to kick off the new campaign.

U12s | Season Opener
A great first game back at home for our U12s today.
With six new players joining the squad this season, the team showed fantastic determination and battled right until the final whistle. Every player put in a real shift, with plenty of effort, commitment and some brilliant moments of teamwork throughout.
Whilst the final score ended up at 8-3, that doesn’t tell the full story of the game. The defensive performance was a huge step forward, with some excellent tackling, pressure and resilience on show from start to finish.
There is plenty for this group to be proud of, especially with so many new players pulling on the Sefton shirt and getting stuck straight in.
A great foundation to build on for the season ahead.
