☀️ Cumbria Vets vs Durham ⛳

The Vets team travelled to the Captain’s home course of Brampton Golf Club for our latest match against Durham, where we were welcomed by a course presented in pristine condition and glorious sunshine throughout the day.

A special mention to Gill, who made her Cumbria Vets debut and came away with a well-earned half point after a determined and hard-fought match. 👏

Despite everyone’s best efforts, Durham proved too strong on the day, taking the match 5½–1½. Well played to all who represented Cumbria.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal in the clubhouse, rounding off a fantastic day of golf and great company.

Our next fixture is on Monday 9th August against Northumberland at Arcot Hall.

Good luck to the team—we’re looking forward to another great day’s golf! 💙🩷🏌️‍♀️

Our first Richardson Trophy match of the season was against Cheshire at Hale Golf Club

We enjoyed some lovely weather ☀️on the practice day, although match day brought a wet start 💧with rain during the morning. We always knew it would be a tough challenge against a strong Cheshire side, but there were some very closely fought matches throughout the day.

The final score was 6–1 to Cheshire, with Janette securing Cumbria’s only point in a thrilling match that went all the way to the 18th hole. Well played, Janette! 💪

A huge thank you to Cheshire Ladies for their warm hospitality. It was a fantastic two days of golf and great company.

We now look ahead to our next Richardson Trophy match on 21–22 June against Lancashire at Formby Ladies Golf Club. Good luck to the team!
