Happy Birthday to my best friend. I miss you everyday. I was unbelievably blessed to have you in my life and working in our gym so I could see you everyday. You pulled me through the darkest time of my life with your loyalty, your love and your never fading smile. I love you.

I never posted anything on the anniversary of your passing because it hurts so much.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I write this post. Michael who worked for me for a number of years unfortunately passed away last Tuesday night.

I’m sure many of you have fond memories of Michael from your time at the gym.

His funeral is this Monday the 18th September.

He will be at Anfield Crematorium at 12:40pm

Anyone who would like to come and pay their respects is more than welcome to attend.

Please note that the service it’s self will be designated to family and immediate friends of Michael but it would be nice for anyone who was a member of our gym to see him into the crematorium grounds to give him the best send off we can.

Today is our final day of trading as Momentum Leisure before we close our doors for good. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster building up to today and we expect many tears but we’d also love to hear all your fond memories & happy times 🥰

We’ll be open from 8am till 3:30pm for those final swims, workouts & Sauna’s (Our Steam Room will unfortunately not be on today - It knew we were leaving 😂)

From 4pm we will be at Reception with some bubbles and nibbles for anyone who would like to pop in for a drink with us and say Goodbye 🧡
We’ll save our soppy words for later but for now, it would be great to see you all, even if only for a few minutes after work!

Thursday 30th September 2021
Our final day! 🧡

We will open the Gym as normal with all facilities available to use between the hours of 8am till 4pm. After this time, we switch everything off and ask if you would like to come down and say Goodbye & share a glass of bubbly/beer with us, then please do so! 🤗

We will have the evening to just reflect & enjoy seeing all your faces in the building one last time - Whether you’re a member, used to be or just came in on a Day Pass - You’ve been a part of our journey and helped us to make Momentum what it’s been for the past 5 years. This isn’t just our Gym, it’s yours too! We’ll forever be grateful for your support 💫🧡

A bitter sweet start to the new month with our closure due on the 30th 😔

We’d love to see as many of you in as possible over the next month, even if you’re not wanting to use the facilities, it be great to see you 🥰

We will have a little “Goodbye” drink on the final day, I’ll confirm the plan for this & let everyone know so we can raise a glass with you all 🧡

It’s A U G U S T ☀️
8 months in to 2021 - We hope everyone is doing OK! 🧡

Unfortunately for us this is the start of our second to last month as Momentum Leisure 👎🏼 Lots have been asking if there has been any change with our landlord, the answer is sadly not & it looks like the Gym will be kept as a residential Student only gym with no pool, sauna or steam… BUT we will be carrying on for the next 2 months, making the most of it and continuing to enjoy all the laughs, chats & smiling faces each day ☺️

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us throughout everything - We are extremely grateful 😊

“FREEDOM DAY”
As we all know, tomorrow (Monday 19th July) marks the day that all covid restrictions will be lifted across England.
As much as this is exciting for some, we are aware that for others, this will be quite a daunting time.

Therefore we will be asking that all members & visitors follow the below to help us continue to keep a safe environment for all -

🔸 Members are welcome to attend their sessions without booking - We ask that all Day Passes continue to call in advance & book in their sessions.
🔸 Whilst using the facilities, please continue to wash hands frequently & use the hand sanitiser provided.
🔸 Machines are to be wiped down, using cleaning products provided after each use - This includes benches & free weights.
🔸 The Sauna & Steam Room is still to be limited to 3 persons at any one time.
🔸 Due a change in our insurance, we are still not accepting children above the age of 5 on Day Passes.
🔸 As has been, masks are entirely your choice - If you wish to wear one then please do!
🔸 And lastly… Everyone has different feelings/opinions/stories in regards to the current situation. Please be kind!

We want to say a massive thank you to all those who have supported us since reopening back in April. Unfortunately, we are still set to close at the end of September so hope we can make the most of the time we have left with you all! 🤗
