£471 raised at Lancaster! 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our charity fundraising during this year's KUGB Train with the Champions at Lancaster.

Through our raffle and Guess the Name of the Karate Bear, we raised a fantastic £471 for the KUGB's chosen charity for 2026, the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Support Group.

Our fundraising for the charity will continue throughout the year, but we’re delighted to have raised such a brilliant amount this week at Lancaster.

Congratulations to the following members who successfully passed their Dan Grading earlier today in Lancaster, on the final day of the 2026 Train with the Champions Karate Summer School.

Members were examined by our technical experts Sensei Billy Higgins (8th Dan), Sensei Jim Brennan (8th Dan), Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan) and Sensei Garry Harford (8th Dan).

First Aid And Mental Health.

Dr Tim once again executed an excellent lecture for our members on fractures. This included lots of practical tasks, with extensive information and advise.
This was then followed by a Mental Health talk from 2 of our Mental Health ambassadors Laura Smith and Jack Somers. Our members where extremely receptive and enjoyed this beneficail part of our course.
