In aid of LawWorks, and as part of the Liverpool John Moores University 2018/19 Law Challenge Team , the two of us are hosting a charity boxing match.
LawWorks is a non-profit organisation which aims to promote and provide free legal advice for people who are unable to afford it and are not eligible for legal aid.
A charity such as LawWorks is more important than ever due to the recent cuts to Legal aid - because of this many people who are in need of legal support are deprived of this right just because they simply can't afford it.
Liverpool in particular has some of the lowest rates of people obtaining legal advice, and by supporting our event you can help LawWorks connect those in need with volunteer lawyers to ensure everyone, no matter what their background, is given a fair opportunity to fight their case.
We believe that an event like this will help to raise the profile of such an important cause that often doesn't get a lot of recognition.
So, please help us by getting involved in our !
