⚽️ Howden Clough U7 Lions vs Liversedge Juniors U7 Lions ⚽️

Today our Under 7 Lions made the short trip to Howden Clough Lions for the first game of the 3v3 season!

What promised to be an exciting morning of football, turned out the be exactly that, with both teams having good phases of football, plenty goals flying in from both sides.

With some brilliant individual performances to add, all the players did their part in some fantastic football, showing the reluctant listening in training is really starting to pay off

⚽️ Queensbury Celtic Colts U14 vs Liversedge Juniors U14 ⚽️

Today we travelled to Queensbury for our opening game of the season!

The weather was absolutely brutal up in the sticks 🤣 but it didn’t dampen the boys spirits. The first half was a very close, even game with both teams creating chances.

Queensbury took the lead during the first half with a nice bit of play catching us off guard. HT 1-0

A quick regroup at half time and into the second half we went. We were absolutely on fire and quickly got ourselves back into the game after being awarded a penalty which Jenson calmly slotted into the bottom corner.

From there on in the goals just kept coming and we found ourselves taking the 3 points today with a brilliant 6-2 win 💪

Every single player today was absolutely outstanding and the team work we showed was incredible! Massive well done to you all! 👏👏

Our defence was solid today which didn’t allow Queensbury too many chances. 🧱

Our attackers caused troubles for the Queensbury defence constantly from start to finish.⚽️

Our goalkeeper was like a brick wall making numerous saves and clearing up anything that came through! 💪

Today was our u8s second gala at Clifton! Up against a high standard of competition, the team rose to the challenge, using sharp passing and fantastic teamwork to earn a well-deserved spot in our first ever semi-finals.

We faced a very strong opponent in the semi-finals, the team dug deep and every player gave 100% but in the end it wasn’t to be. I am incredibly proud of the whole team today,everyone put in a brilliant performance. Reaching a semi-final is a massive achievement 👏

Our brand new under 9 team had there first ever game today vs battyeford. We saw fantastic goals, amazing saves, brilliant team work and loads of happy smiling faces.

For the first time this group of kids have played together we couldn’t be prouder of them. 8 super players of the match! The first of many great days out in the blue and white I’m sure.

A big thank you to batteyford for hosting the game and making it a thoroughly enjoyable game played with great spirit and sportsmanship.

⚽️ Clifton Gala 2026 U14 ⚽️

Today we travelled the short journey to brighouse high school for the 30th annual Clifton gala.

Our boys were in a tough group against some really good teams.

We went through the group stages joint top of the group with 2 wins and 2 draws and not conceding a goal in the whole group 💪

Into the semi finals we went and came up against a good Clifton side who narrowly pipped us to the the final by beating us 1-0 which was a scrappy goal but our performance throughout the full day was absolutely brilliant and we showed what we are about 🩵⚽️

Everybody played their hearts out and showed tremendous togetherness in every game.

Also want to say a massive shout out to our brand new goalkeeper Thomas who made some fantastic saves to keep us in every game 👏👏👏 he also picked up player of the tournament chosen by our coaches 🏆

Some team for one team! 🩵

3 semi finals in the last 2 months is some achievement and shows how far this team has come! 👏👏

Liversedge Juniors FC U14s are looking for a new goalkeeper to join our team for the 2026/27 season! 🧤🥅

We’re looking for an experienced goalkeeper, ideally with experience playing at Division 6 or above, who is keen to develop, work hard and be part of a great group of players.

⚽️ Ovenden West Riding Alpha U14 vs Liversedge Juniors U14 ⚽️

Today our boys travelled to Halifax for a preseason friendly against a very tough side in Ovenden!

We were in the same division as each other last season and had some very tough games against them then aswell.

Today was no different and from the first whistle Ovenden came flying at us and to be honest we were miles off it from the word go! 👎

We struggled to create any chances and allowed Ovenden to pile pressure on us and we found ourselves being 4-0 down at HT!

Quick chat with the boys and asked them to go out and try and change the things that were going wrong and before we knew it we found ourselves getting a goal back and looking more like ourselves!

We had a very good second half and ended up finishing the game with a 6-3 loss.

Plenty to work on before the season starts but also a brilliant second half performance from the team 👏

Massive shout out to Bobby for stepping up to play in goal today and pulling off some absolute world class saves 👏👏

Onwards and upwards we go!
