Streetbikes

On Wednesday, Tom, Terry and Genevieve went to the Meltham Guides to run a workshop on bike maintenance. They had 20 children attend who were split into three groups and rotated around different sessions. Tom gave each group an introduction to the different parts of a bike and how to fix basic problems. Terry talked about the different things that you should take out with you on a ride e.g pumb, puncture repair kit, water etc. While Genevieve had the groups learning to repair punctures - how to take on and off a tyre, finding the puncture, using a puncture repair kit and how to use a bicycle pump. This was a very successful workshop and all the children seemed to really enjoy learning these new found skills!

As promised in our last post, we are also running another free adult learn to ride session! This one will be available for all genders to attend, in August, and is a non-judgemental and safe place to finally learn how to ride a bike! Come on down to Princess Mary Stadium (Spenborough athletics track) and have some fun!

This July at Streetbikes we're running a free women only learn to ride session! It will be completely run and attended by women only, providing a safe and friendly environment for you to get cycling! This will be at Princess Mary Stadium (Spenborough running track) on 15th July and will start at 18:00pm.
