đ§ MINDSET MONDAY | Just Get Started
Sometimes we make getting fit far harder than it needs to be.
We wait for the right time.
We wait until weâre more motivated.
We wait until work settles down.
We wait until MondayâŠ
Well, itâs Monday. đ
So letâs start.
You donât need to completely change your life this week.
You donât need to train every day.
You donât need to eat perfectly.
Just make a few better choices.
Get your training sessions booked.
Get through the door.
Do the session.
Eat a little better.
Get some decent sleep.
Then do it again.
Because Iâve seen it so many timesâŠ
People donât change because they suddenly become incredibly motivated.
They change because they start doing the little things consistently.
And those little things eventually become habits.
So donât worry about getting everything right.
Just get started.
Then keep going.
Thatâs where the results come from.
đŹ Whatâs one thing youâre going to do for yourself this week?
Letâs make it happen. đ

đœïž FUEL FRIDAY
Can I be honest?
People make nutrition far more complicated than it needs to be.
Every week I hear things like:
âShould I stop eating carbs?â
âCan I eat after 8pm?â
âWhatâs the best diet?â
âDo I need to cut out chocolate?â
And my answer is usuallyâŠ
Letâs start with the basics first.
Get some protein in your meals.
Eat your fruit and veg.
Drink plenty of water.
Eat sensible portions.
And if youâre training hard, give your body enough food to actually recover.
Thatâs it.
You donât need to live on chicken and broccoli.
You donât need to completely cut out carbs.
And you definitely donât need to feel guilty because you had a takeaway with the family.
One meal isnât going to ruin your progress.
Just like one workout isnât going to transform you.
Itâs what you do most of the time that counts.
Iâve always believed that if your diet is so restrictive that you canât enjoy a meal out, a birthday, a holiday or a takeaway with your familyâŠ
Itâs probably not a diet youâre going to stick to.
Get the basics right.
Be consistent.
Enjoy your food.
And get back on track when you have an off day.
Thatâs real life.
Thatâs sustainable.
And thatâs what weâre trying to teach at T.O.D.
Not how to diet for six weeks.
How to look after yourself for the long term.
đŹ Whatâs one nutrition habit you know you could improve?
Be honest⊠weâre all guilty of something! đ

Transformation Thursday
One thing Iâve noticed over the years is that people can get too caught up in what the scales say.
âIâve only lost 2lb.â
âMy weight hasnât changed this week.â
âIâm not seeing much difference.â
But then I look at what theyâre actually doingâŠ
Theyâre lifting more.
Theyâre fitter.
Theyâre moving better.
Theyâve got more energy.
Theyâre more confident walking into the gym.
And theyâre doing things now that they couldnât do a few months ago.
Thatâs progress.
Sometimes the biggest changes arenât the ones you can see in the mirror.
Theyâre the ones you feel.
And thatâs why I always tell our members:
Donât just measure your progress by your weight.
Look at what you can do now.
Look at how you feel.
Look at how consistent youâve become.
Look at how much stronger you are.
Because real transformation takes time.
There will be good weeks and bad weeks.
There will be days when you smash your training and days when just getting through the door feels like an achievement.
And thatâs okay.
Just keep turning up.
Keep doing the basics well.
Keep making those small improvements.
Eventually, youâll look back and realise just how far youâve come.
Thatâs what I want for everyone who walks through the doors at T.O.D.
Not perfection.
Just progress.
And a healthier, stronger version of themselves.
đŹ Whatâs one thing you can do now that you couldnât do when you first started training?
Iâd love to hear it.

đïž WORKOUT WEDNESDAY | Make Every Minute Count
More isnât always better.
Sometimes the goal isnât to lift heavier or train for longer.
Itâs to get more quality work from the time you already have.
Try this simple 30-minute strength session:
đ„ BLOCK 1 â 10 MINUTES
Goblet Squat
3 Ă 10
Dumbbell Floor Press
3 Ă 10
Rest as needed, but keep the quality high.
đȘ BLOCK 2 â 10 MINUTES
Kettlebell Romanian Deadlift
3 Ă 10
Supported Single-Arm Row
3 Ă 10 each side
Again, control the movement rather than racing through it.
⥠BLOCK 3 â 10 MINUTES
Farmer Carry
4 Ă 30 metres
Sled Push
4 Ă 15â20 metres
đŻ THE COACHING POINT
The aim isnât to see how quickly you can finish.
Itâs to see how much good-quality work you can complete in the time available.
That means:
â
Good technique
â
Appropriate loading
â
Controlled reps
â
Short, purposeful rest
â
Consistent effort
And hereâs the big takeaway:
You donât always need more time.
Sometimes you simply need to use the time you have better.
30 focused minutes can be far more productive than an hour of wandering around the gym without a plan.
At T.O.D Coaching Gym & Dojo, we donât just give you exercises.
We give your training a purpose.

đïž TECHNIQUE TUESDAY | Slow It Down
Want to make an exercise more challenging without adding more weight?
Slow the movement down.
A lot of people focus only on getting the weight from A to B.
But the way you move the weight matters.
Try this on your next strength session:
đŻ CONTROL THE TEMPO
Instead of dropping into a squat and bouncing straight back upâŠ
Control the descent.
Instead of letting the dumbbell fall during a rowâŠ
Control it back down.
Instead of rushing through a pressâŠ
Own every part of the movement.
Why?
Because controlling the tempo can help you:
đȘ Increase muscular tension
đ§ Improve movement awareness
đŻ Reinforce good technique
đ Make lighter weights more challenging
đïž Develop better control and stability
And hereâs the important part:
Slower doesnât automatically mean better.
The tempo should have a purpose.
If youâre learning a movement, controlling the eccentric phase can help you understand the position and maintain good technique.
Once youâve mastered it, you can then introduce faster, more explosive movements where appropriate.
Donât just move the weight.
Control the weight.
Thatâs the difference between simply exercising and actually training.
At T.O.D Coaching Gym & Dojo, our coaches donât just tell you how many reps to do.
We help you understand how and why youâre doing them.

đ§ MINDSET MONDAY | Stop Relying on Motivation
Hereâs the truth about motivation:
It wonât always be there.
Some Monday mornings youâll feel ready to train.
Other mornings youâll be tired, busy or simply not in the mood.
Thatâs normal.
The people who make lasting progress donât rely on feeling motivated every day.
They build habits and routines that make showing up easier.
Think about it:
đïž Schedule your training rather than hoping youâll find time.
đ„ Plan your food rather than making decisions when youâre hungry.
đŽ Prioritise your recovery rather than waiting until youâre exhausted.
đŻ Set realistic goals rather than trying to change everything at once.
And when motivation disappears?
Your routine takes over.
You donât need to smash every session.
You donât need to have the perfect week.
Sometimes the biggest win is simply walking through the doors and getting the session done.
Because every time you show up, youâre reinforcing the habit.
And those habits are what create long-term change.
Motivation gets you started.
Consistency keeps you going.
At T.O.D Coaching Gym & Dojo, weâre not just here to give you workouts.
Weâre here to coach you, support you and help you build a routine that fits your life.

SATURDAY CIRCUITS | Donât Just Go Faster â Go Better
Circuit training is brilliant for building fitness.
But thereâs a common mistakeâŠ
Trying to finish every station as quickly as possible.
More speed doesnât always mean better training.
The real goal is to maintain quality while youâre working under fatigue.
During todayâs circuit, think about:
đŻ Technique first
Donât let fatigue turn good movement into sloppy movement.
đȘ Choose the right intensity
You should be challenged, but still able to maintain control.
đ« Control your breathing
Learn to recover while youâre still moving.
â±ïž Work consistently
Donât smash the first round and struggle through the rest.
đ„ Finish strong
Aim for the same quality in your final round as your first.
Thatâs one of the great things about circuit training.
It teaches you to keep moving when youâre tired.
And thatâs useful whether your goal is:
đ Better fitness
đȘ Getting stronger
đ„ Improving body composition
⥠Building work capacity
đ Simply feeling better
You donât have to be the fastest person in the room.
You donât have to lift the heaviest weight.
You just need to work hard, move well and keep showing up.
Thatâs what Saturday training at T.O.D Coaching Gym & Dojo is all about.
Good people.
Good training.
Good energy.
And another session in the bank. đȘ

đœïž FUEL FRIDAY | Donât Let the Weekend Undo Your Week
Youâve trained hard.
Youâve made good choices.
Youâve built some momentum.
Then Friday night arrivesâŠ
And suddenly the weekend becomes:
đ Takeaways
đ Meals out
đș A few drinks
đ« Snacks
đŽ Less sleep
âŠand very little movement.
Sound familiar? đ
Hereâs the thing:
You donât need to be perfect at the weekend.
You just need to avoid turning two days into a complete write-off.
Try this instead:
đ§ Keep drinking water throughout the day.
đ„© Get protein into your meals before reaching for the snacks.
đ„ Make your main meals nutritious and enjoy the foods you love around them.
đ¶ Keep moving â walk, get outside, play with the kids, whatever works.
đ Enjoy a meal out without guilt.
đŽ Donât completely abandon your sleep routine.
And rememberâŠ
One meal wonât ruin your progress.
Just like one workout wonât transform your body.
Itâs what you do consistently that matters.
You should be able to enjoy your weekend and continue working towards your goals.
Thatâs what sustainable fitness looks like.
Train hard during the week.
Live your life at the weekend.
Find the balance that works for you.
At T.O.D Coaching Gym & Dojo, we donât believe in diets or training plans that take over your life.
We want to help you build habits you can actually maintain.
