THE FRAMED SUMMER ORIENTEERING SERIES.

Throughout the months of June, July and August we have teamed up with the .gravelgang to give you a Summer Bike Orienteering Series.

The format is simple -
Teams of 2 to 4 cyclists, starting at the shop, will recieve a map with a set of coordinates to tick off.
The opening round is on Sunday 29th June at 9.30am and will see you hunting around Beddgelert Forest so expect some steep climbs out of Llanberis to get you there.... that should warm the legs up🤣
Collect as many of the coordinates as you can and make sure you take a selfie at each one, the selfie must contain the marker and every member of your team, no splitting up! Then you have to get back to the Shop in the alloted time.
You choose your route, you just need to get there and back on your bikes with every member of your team.
You gain points per marker so the more markers you get the higher your points haul and we'll crown a winner at the end of August.

Any type of bike is allowed, just make sure that the one you are using is suitable for forestry tracks and that you're comfortable riding it.
We will have a separate leader board for all you e-bikers.
Look forward to seeing you all this weekend🤘🤘🤘

WHAT A WEEKEND! CLEARLY WILLING TO RIDE ANYTHING AS LONG AS THERES FREE PIZZA🤣

Sometimes we surprise even ourselves, quite possibly the single hardest day out on a bike I've ever experienced!
Valerio organises the and boy does he do a good job, following on from completing the Millstone Route at last year's inaugural event this year saw myself and tackle the Peak Gravel route whilst good friend came back for revenge on the Millstone after a sun-stroked/dehydration day one saw him scratch last year. (And boy did he get his revenge! Epicly quick time on the Millstone completing it in a single push💪)
Both myself and Ray suffered from leg cramps due to the relentless heat coupled with dehydration. But we both pushed on to also complete in a single push.
We had some laughs, some tantrums, glorious views, champagne Gravel coupled with sk**ky disgusting Gravel in a demented but beautiful route.

So a quick Thanks to Vale for his hard work, Ray and Fynn for the company on the ride and everyone else i spoke with this weekend for the super psyche and thanks for the hilarious leg "tan-off" that i completely lost with my pasty pins🤘🤘

Currently in a Bath full of muscle soak hoping I'll be able to stand up and get to fixing stuff in the workshop tomorrow🤣🤣

See you next year!!!!💪💪

Sometimes, we ride bikes!

We love how the nights are getting brighter and it's now time to get your bike out of its winter hibernation and go ride!

Last night saw me clock out at 6pm and go on an extended "bikepacking" Commute home via Bwlch Measgwm, Beddgelert, nantmor (cheeky wildcamp) llyn Dinas, Beddgelert(again) Cefn Ddu, for lunch then Home.

Absolute, 100% SOUL FOOD. Epic views, a proper post winter reset, spring is definitely HERE!!!!

I'm thinking of doing a midweek bikepacking trip at least once per konth going forwards, if that's of interest to anyone? Pop it into the comments of you want me to organise this.👍

Back in work tomorrow as usual, wait times for booking in jobs has now reached TWO WEEKS, so I can only implore people to get organised as squeezing last minute requests in for the next few months is going to be hard.

See yall soon!!!

Matt
