Thats a wrap after a warm 11 days of quality bowls as the 2026 Welsh Lawn Bowls National Championships come to an end.

Congratulations to all the new National Champions who will now go forward to represent Wales at next years British Bowls Championships.

A massive 👏 to the WLB officers on once again running a successful Championships, the umpires and markers, Sporting Highlights for covering the event and telling the story as it unfolded, to our greens team, our caterers, our cafe, car parking, clean up team, members and volunteers who ensure the last 11 days run as smooth as possible, without these it would not be possible so a big thank you!

We have our second Welsh title at this years National Championships!

Congratulations to Llandrindod Wells duo Shirley King and Jackie Bates, who have been crowned Welsh Women’s Over 60 Pairs Champions! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Shirley and Jackie secured the national title today following a fantastic victory in the final against Brynhyfryd’s Alison Callard and Janet Grange.

A brilliant achievement for the Llandrindod Wells pair, and congratulations also to Alison and Janet on a superb run to the final.

Congratulations to Cara Dunne who becomes 2026 U18 Welsh Women’s Singles Champion and will represent Wales at next years British Isles Championships!

Cara came out on top in the final against Sophie Regan of Ammanford, rounding off a fantastic competition.
