With the arrival of our Lanterne Rouge, The Pan Celtic Race 2026 is officially finished, two weeks after it started in the medieval town of Conwy, North Wales


We doff our caps to everyone who made it to the start line, and we congratulate those who made it to the finish line. This year’s event will always be remembered as the beginning of a new chapter, but the memories of this incredible route through the very best of Ireland will be hard to beat. The weather, the landscapes, the endless sunsets, and the people who made this so special, will be talked about and shared in stories for years to come

Finish Party 🎉


This year’s Pan Celtic Race party was a celebration for the ages, and while the music played, riders continued to arrive to rapturous applause and cheer. The beers flowed and many a story was shared amongst the Clan


Special shoutouts to for the inspirational speech, and for receiving his honorary Pan Celtic head badge becoming the youngest rider to complete an ultra-distance event


While most of our riders have now returned home safe and sound, we still have a couple of Clan members out on the road. Please keep watching and willing them home safely

The finish line


Race party begins from 6pm this evening. Riders are still arriving and will continue to do so throughout the evening and into the night. We look forward to welcoming them in with open arms and an ice cold beer 🍻

A blur


And just like that, this year’s Pan Celtic Race is almost over. It can be difficult to enjoy the moment, to feel within it and to appreciate the long days without a worry, but we implore you all, to take a moment, breathe it in and take comfort in the time spent in the outdoors doing what we love the most. In the coming weeks, many of you will experience the adventure blues, and might well find yourself needing someone to talk to. Our door is always open, and even though the race has ended, please do not hesitate to give us a shout if you need anything at all

The lady of the lake


The mysterious enchantress of Snowdonia beckons riders forward beside Ogwen Valleys dark waters, steep mountains, and mythical atmosphere. The purple heather, synonymous with the mountainsides at this time of year blooms, giving rise to a gorgeous landscape and a fitting finale to this years Pan Celtic Race

Finish


As more and more riders arrive, Conwy town becomes a hub of the Clan, with Gatherings and celebrations taking place around town and at the finish line. We’ll be at the YHA all day today and into this evening as we prepare for the finish party and will welcome riders in with huge cheers and applause into the night

This is how they do it


Ryan and Gus have charged their way round this year’s Short Route aboard their new Curve Ultra + titanium bikes, taking in the very best Ireland has to offer, including a Guinness factory tour and even finding time to head to the cinema to watch The Odyssey*, and sink at least two pints of Guinness per day


*Spoiler alert. They didn’t think it was good 😮 while Gus even claimed that Matt Damon was no actor

No Direction


Ireland’s hottest new boy band, proving that talent is optional but leaning against a wall is essential. Their debut album, Wrong Turn at Bally, features chart-topping hits including Where Did We Park the Embassy?, High-Vis Heartbreak, Take Me to Tarbert (I Missed the Ferry), and the emotional ballad Mam Said I’d Be Home for Tea


Critics have described them as “One Direction… if the sat-nav had packed in somewhere along the Wild Atlantic Way.” Their world tour currently stretches from the pub to the chippy, with no encore because nobody can agree which way they’re going

The final run into Dublin


It wouldn’t be a Pan Celtic Race without a few obligatory loops on the run in to catch the ferry at Dublin Port. Riders were first required to tackle the forestry roads of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, before taking on the winding roads of the scorched Wicklow Mountains. A sting in the tail of the Irish section for sure, and one that can be attributed to route planner extraordinaire 😉😂
