✨ CWMMEUDWY MAHALA β€” A VERY PROUD BREEDER MOMENT ✨

There are few moments more rewarding for a breeder than seeing a homebred youngster step into the ring and begin to fulfil the potential you always hoped was there.

Today was one of those moments for me with CWMMEUDWY MAHALA taking πŸ₯ˆin a strong class at The Welsh Pony and Cob Society 125th Anniversary Show, held at the Royal Welsh Showground.

A 4-year-old Welsh Part Bred mare by Sianwood Altior and out of a Thoroughbred mare One More Gypsy, Mahala represents a breeding that I'm incredibly proud of at Cwmmeudwy Stud.

It was a real pleasure to watch her being presented on my behalf by Dylan in the main ring. (These old legs can no longer keep up with these big horses 🀣) Although she was understandably rather excited on the walk down, taking in the atmosphere and everything that comes with such a prestigious occasion, she settled beautifully once through the ring entrance.

From that moment, she knew exactly what was required of her.

She went around the ring with an effortless free flowing rhythm, presence and way of going that was a genuine pleasure to watch. ✨

One comment from a good friend perhaps summed her performance up better than anything:

β€œWow, look at her go. It's like she is in slow motion and floating across that ring.”

It was certainly a very proud moment for me.

Watching a mare that you have bred, raised and followed from the very beginning develop into the horse standing before you is something quite special. There was certainly a very happy tear in my eye today. ❀️

I feel extremely fortunate to have leased Mahala's dam, One More Gypsy, from Dylan for a couple of years, and even more fortunate that I now have another full sister to Mahala retained here at Cwmmeudwy Stud.

Mahala has already given me plenty of reasons to be excited, and today's performance has only strengthened our belief that she has a very bright future ahead of her.

A sincere thank you to Dylan for presenting her so beautifully today and for allowing me to enjoy such a special moment.

A very exciting young mare β€” and one I'm extremely proud to have bred. ❀️✨

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday at Cardigan Show! β˜€οΈ

With glorious sunshine, stunning sea views and, best of all, Cwmmeudwy ponies once again in the ribbons, it was a day to remember.

πŸ† CWMMEUDWY ANWYLYD
(Fouroaks Cameron Γ— Cwmmeudwy Adlais Γ— Heniarth Quip)

Anwylyd had a wonderful day, winning the Section A Broodmare class before going on to be awarded Reserve Section A Champion. We couldn't be prouder of this special mare.

Making her show debut at foot was her beautiful filly foal, πŸ† CWMMEUDWY ARYA, by this year's Royal Welsh Show-winning three-year-old c**t Islyn Matholwch. Arya behaved impeccably all day and really caught the judge's eye with her expressive, free-flowing movement to take home the red rosette. We are so excited to watch this exciting young filly develop.

It was also another successful outing for πŸ†CWMMEUDWY MAHALA
(Sianwood Altior Γ— One More Gypsy TB)

Mahala continued her consistent form by claiming Reserve Champion WPBR, another result we're delighted with.

A huge thank you, as always, to Dylan Wyn for presenting the ponies so beautifully, to everyone working behind the scenes who helps make these days possible, and congratulations to the Cardigan Show committee on running such a fantastic show. Finally, thank you to the judges for thinking so highly of our poniesβ€”it is always greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to everyone who competed, and we're already looking forward to the next show! πŸ’™πŸ΄

We're incredibly proud to share more fantastic news from the Royal Welsh Show!

CWMMEUDWY AWDYR
(Blanche Montana Γ— Cwmmeudwy Adlais Γ— Heniarth Quip)

Makeing us proud by winning the Section A First Ridden class before going on to be crowned Reserve Champion in the Leading Rein & First Ridden Championship.

Seeing horses we have bred go on to achieve success in loving homes is what breeding is all about, and it's wonderful to watch Awdyr continue to fulfil his potential.

A huge congratulations to the Lloyd family on this fantastic achievement, and a very special well done to Medi, who gave Awdyr a superb ride. What a brilliant partnership you are becoming!

We wish you all continued success and look forward to following your journey together. πŸŒŸπŸ΄πŸ’™

A fantastic and successful day yesterday at the Royal Welsh Show! πŸ†πŸ’š

CWMMEUDWY BRIALLEN
(Blanche Montana Γ— Rosemarche Holly Bough Γ— Heniarth Quip)

Briallen went one better than last year, taking a fantastic 3rd place in the Senior Broodmare class. We couldn't be prouder of this wonderful mare. She always gives her all whenever she's asked and continues to do our stud proud.

She also had her beautiful c**t foal by her side throughout the day. Unfortunately, he wasn't eligible to be shown as he hadn't been born when the Royal Welsh entries closed, but it was lovely to have him there alongside his mum.

A huge thank you, as always, to Dylan for presenting Briallen so beautifully in the ring. Your hard work and dedication are always appreciated.

Congratulations to Lisa Jones and CWMMEUDWY SPRING SALUTE, winning the Middle Weight Hunter class at the Royal Welsh Show yesterday.

This combination also gained their golden ticket to HOYS earlier in the year.

A fantastic achievement πŸ‘

🌟 Exceptional Palomino Broodmare – In Foal to Cascob Heir Apparent 🌟

CWMMEUDWY FFANSI PANTS
(Penclose Maestro Γ— Cwmmeudwy Hen Ffasiwn Γ— Llanarth Fiery Jack)

15.2hh | 10 years | Palomino | Proven Broodmare

A fantastic opportunity to acquire a beautiful, substantial palomino mare with outstanding bloodlines, a wonderful temperament, and an exciting future.

"Ffansi" is a quality mare with a leg in each corner, combining substance, presence, and a genuinely kind, easy nature. She is a pleasure to handle and straightforward in every way. Lightly shown as a youngster, she enjoyed success before going on to prove herself as a consistent and reliable broodmare. Covers in-hand or runs out with the stallion.

She is scanned in foal to Cascob Heir Apparent, offering an exciting prospect for next season.

She can also be purchased with her stunning bay c**t foal at foot by Cascob Heir Apparent, or the mare and foal can be sold separately once the foal is weaned.

She is:

- Regularly trimmed by the farrier
- Up to date with worming
- Easy to catch, handle, and manage
- A genuine, kind mare who is a pleasure to own

Whether you're looking to add quality breeding lines to your stud or searching for a dependable broodmare with an exciting future, Ffansi is an opportunity not to be missed.

Price will depend on whether she is sold with her foal at foot or after weaning.

Serious enquiries only, please. A first-class home is absolutely paramount for this special mare.

The one we missed! ❀️

Back in June, we took our lovely 3-year-old filly

CWMMEUDWY RWDLAN
(Cascob Heir Apparent Γ— Cwmmeudwy Rhuddem Goch Γ— Trevalion Picasso)

to St Clears Show for what was simply an outing to gain experience and confidence.

We couldn't have been prouder of this kind, genuine filly. She took everything in her stride, behaved impeccably all day, and came home with two πŸ₯ˆ placings in strong classes.

She's now enjoying a well-earned break back out in the field before joining the stud's breeding programme next year. We're excited to see what the future holds for this special mare. ❀️
