Fair to say the boys have been doing pretty well in their last 2 club matches. Here’s Alan with his 2 small eyed rays from monknash this weekend and Rhys’s cracking bass around the 6lb mark at cefn sidan the other weekend.

The boys fished their last club match on the North Channel Burry Port. The usual smoothounds turned up but the highlight of the session was Alan Rees landing this magnificent tope of 36lb, a big well done to Alan👌

Saturday evening, Team Anglers Corner fished Newton beach. The forecast put many off but a small minority of the boys braved the weather and were greeted with a nice sheltered place to fish. Overall the fishing was pretty slow with a few pouting coming out and Rhys Williams also had a flounder. Other than that Harri Williams managed 2 small eyed with his biggest being 6lb 8oz.
Well done to everyone who fished and we look forward to fishing Ogmore Beach this Sunday.

Just a little report from our club meet up yesterday on cefn sidan. The boys were welcomed with a lovely surf. A few members decided to fish an hour or 2 before the official fishing time in hope of having a few more bass which it paid off for them. Throughout the session, most caught flounder and healthy bass which was very nice to see and Andrew Williams also caught a small turbot. If your looking to join pop in to the shop or attend this months meeting which is in Seaside Social Club on the 1st or March.

Last Saturday we held our AGM in Seaside Social Club. It was a good turn out with a couple of new faces turning up as well which was very nice to see. We held our award presentation with Adam Davies taking the shield for 1st place so a big well done to Adam, with Stephen Tucker 2nd and Harri Williams 3rd. We’re very looking forward to this years fishing and to start the year off our first venue will be The North Channel Burry Port on the 28th of January, meeting at Shorline Caravan park at 10am fishing 11am - 3:30pm.
