I’m finally finishing my degree this month 🎉 and I’m starting to plan what I can do afterwards….what can I say, I like to keep busy! 🤷🏻♀️😂

We’re so lucky to live in an area with soooooo much choice for how we can move our body!
Movement doesn’t always have to happen in the gym 💪🏽
And it’s always good to try new things and to mix things up.
It’s actually been proven that new experiences and avoiding the same old routine is good for us! ✨

Football is on…I’m out! ⚽️😂
Loti and I took a walk to Llyn Cefni and back this afternoon whilst the boys were watching football.
Took it nice and easy after getting a lil injury last week, but we keep moving 👣
I’ll be walking more than weight training for a bit whilst I recover, so please let me know….

The gym isn’t for everyone, so find something you enjoy where you can move your body! 💪🏽
Taking up something different can bring you a joy you never thought you'd find, just like Lara found in pole fitness. 👏

I’ve chosen to do my year 3 research project about walking and its benefits, particularly for postpartum women 👶🏻
But the more I’m researching walking, the more I’m realising just how AMAZING it is for EVERYONE! ✨
There’s research to prove that even 5 minutes per day can provide benefits…5 MINUTES!! Obviously the more you walk, the more benefits you’ll get 😏
Starting tomorrow, try to get outside for 30 minutes a day…split it into 10/15 minute chunks if necessary! 💪🏽
You’ll soon be reaping the benefits:
✅ Better sleep
✅ Better mood
✅ Less anxious
✅ Less irritable
✅ Lowered risk of cardiovascular disease eg heart attack/stroke
✅ Lowered risk of hypertension
✅ Lowered risk of some cancers
…and so many more!
For these reasons alone isn’t it worth getting your trainers on and getting some steps in 👣
