🎉We are excited to share news that we have been informed that the repairs to the ZigZag bridge should be complete within the next 3 weeks, so we are currently working to relaunch our event on Saturday 6th June! 🎉
Our return is reliant on the commitment of our fabulous volunteers, so please ensure that you have ticked the box on your parkrun profile that you receive our pleas for help!
However, before we get to that stage, we really need some more Run Directors to join the team. Please get in touch if you would like more information or to discuss the role!

Unfortunately, ongoing structural work on the Zig Zag bridge continues to prevent us from holding our weekly parkrun event in Llangefni, but we hope to be able to share more news next week.🤞
In the meantime, if you are interested in learning more about supporting visually impaired runners, Welsh Athletics Athletau Cymru are hosting a Guide Running Workshop in Deeside on Sunday!

We're missing you at Nant y Pandy parkrun but unfortunately, what was supposed to be a 4 week closure to repair our zig-zag bridge, has become a more complex project and we don't know how long it will take before we can resume our event in Llangefni. #
As you can see from the photos, it is possible to get out to the lake, but it is far from an accessible path, so if you're planning a 'not parkrun', please take care!
Nant y Pandy parkrun and Nant Y Pandy 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer will, unfortunately, remain cancelled until further notice. We will update you when we have further news, but in the meantime, enjoy visiting our friends at Newborough Forest parkrun, Penrhyn parkrun and further afield!

⚠️EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO ICE⚠️
We're desperately disappointed to have to cancel our Valentine's Day parkrun, but the course is too icy to be safe and we love our volunteers and parkrunners too much to put you at risk!
Please stay safe on your travels of your heading to one of our immediate neighbours at Newborough Forest parkrun or Penrhyn parkrun.
🥰Big thanks to Paul for checking the course bright and early, and to Sophie, who had been so busy baking for you yesterday! ♥️

With a weather warning in place overnight, and freezing conditions forecast for Llangefni in the morning, please keep an eye on this page in case of cancellation. Our course-checker will be heading out early, and we'll report back as early as possible.
We REALLY don't want to cancel, but safety comes first so if the course is icy, you may have to at another event...

❤️Come and share the love at Nant y Pandy parkrun this week - it'll be your last chance for a while!!!
🥰The good news is that Zig Zag bridge on our route is being shown some much needed love over the next 4 weeks as contractors replace the surface. Whilst the pause in our parkrun is unfortunate, we'll all be able to appreciate the repaired walkway in time for the summer.
In the meantime, please enjoy running, walking and volunteering at our neighbouring events of Newborough Forest parkrun, Penrhyn parkrun, Conwy parkrun and Hafan Pwllheli parkrun. Keep any eye on our socials for progress and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy our shiny new boardwalk in a few weeks!!

Nant Y Pandy parkrun #283 07/02/26
Situation on the beautiful Welsh island of Anglesey, nant y Pandy parkrun is located.
We're a home to the endangered species of red squirrels too, so if you spot one you are very lucky!
We're a quite unique one lap course, not many one lappers exist. We're an out and back, with two bridges on our course for each way.
It's undulating, but so beautiful scenery wise that every hill is excused.
Unfortunately we had a little drizzle for the parkrun, even so it's lovely regardless of the weather.
We welcomed 92 participants in total, sadly no milestones today but some very close to them or just achieved one. Hopefully next week we see some new milestones.
We do get to celebrate 9 doing their first ever parkrun though, and 12 achieving a new pb! Well done to those 21 individuals.
Placements:
Jake H: 20.55
Chris G: 21.21
Medwyn R: 21.32
Evie R: 24.11
Rebecca A: 24.40
Layla G: 25.10
Congratulations to those podium spots, you all did fantastic.
Of course we can't do this without our superstar volunteers: Sophie AUSTEN, Gina BIGGS, Sue BROAD, Peggy COOMBS, Richard COUPE, Janice DAVIES, Susan DAVIES, Gethin DAVIS, Keith DAVIS, Annette HANNINGTON, Sophie LUCAS, Paul MAITLAND, Rachel MOORE, William PRITCHARD, Aron RHISIART, Josie RHISIART
