SUNDAY IS THE DAY .... I'll attempt to ascend the height of Everest within 24 hours on Moel Siabod ( almost exactly 13 ascents ) . I will start at 4am prompt from the wee wooden bridge at Plas Y Brenin . I will be parking a blue minibus here with refuelling supplies during the day . It would , of course , be great to see folks out on the hill on sunday but we all know that life in local lockdown is not that simple . THANKS to everyone who has donated so far in aid of Wales Air Ambulance Charity .... your contributions are so important for this charity but also for my motivation during the day / night . If Dave were here he would have been on Moel SIabod for sure - either running or supporting ( probably both) or simply enjoying seeing one of his colleagues in such pain !
I hope to report back positively on the other side .....
Meanwhile .... we're almost at the target of £1K ....

Massive THANKS to those who have already been onto the JustGiving page to donate to Wales Air Ambulance . This will be a huge motivator on the day ... and night ! Please feel free to share the details.. and of course donate a few quid too - you never know when you might need that little red helicopter !

Some local runners / friends have already contacted to offer support which is just great . If you fancy a couple of hill reps next wednesday ( 21st) ... day or night .... then let me know and could you PM your mob contact number please . Might need some help just staying awake !!!!
Update : Given the likelihood that we stay in Local Lockdown and the fact that Welsh Government promised to get back to me within ....14 days with an answer on Snowdon .... I'm switching to Siabod from Plas Y Brenin . It gives a pretty similar set of stats ....9.0km and 685m ascent . Aim is to do what i can but .... an ascent of Everest from Sea level would require 12.5 ascents of the mountain so that has to be a goal . May not sound too bad but that weighs in at 75miles in distance plus nearly 9000m of climbing.
Unless the weather forces a change to the timings , i will start at 12 noon on 21st from the bridge over the river at PYB ... so at least the first 30 metres are flat .
