What a bank holiday weekend!
After coaching a lovely regular client at Merchant Taylor’s lake, it was time for birthday cake with the core Aloha Tri race team.

Join us on Tuesday night when I’m coaching open water swimming for another client. It’s ’s monthly BBQ at the lake then from 7pm!

See you there!

When life gets busy, you fit training around other priorities. Whenever and wherever.
Coach Rav gets it and as a coached athlete with Aloha Tri that plan is adjusted every week according to your needs and your goals.

This weekend, we’re expecting a heat wave so be extra careful out there! Again, your coach should be adapting your plan for it.

Need some help? Hit us up in the DMs and let’s get on an intro call to discuss how you can smash your next triathlon.

Life is extremely busy, but training should work with your life, not against it. Stay positive, enjoy the process, and focus on what you can do.

Get a coach who gets it and can take the stress of planning your training around a busy life, so you can keep progressing with confidence. 🤙

Coach Rav knows all about that and making triathlon a lifelong enjoyable commitment. Get in touch for a chat.

Big weekend of racing across the board for the race team!

Huge well done to Matt on completing the Burghley Duathlon. A tough day out in testing conditions, with strong winds and that brutal farm track section. Solid ex*****on under pressure.

Katy raced the HSV Triathlon and delivered a strong performance, improving on last year despite difficult conditions. Coaching paid off with a controlled, composed swim to set up her race — a clear win.

Vanessa took on Tough Mudder and absolutely leaned into it. Great pacing mindset, smart energy management, and a strong team performance throughout. A real highlight was an managing the obstacles that required proper teamwork to get through.

Well done team!

🌅 Race morning isn’t where you figure things out.
After coaching athletes through hundreds of starts, the difference is clear:

The best athletes arrive calm.
Because everything is already decided.

If nerves kick in:

🧘‍♂️ Slow your breathing (4 in / 6 out)
🔁 Stick to your routine — don’t improvise
🚴 Final bike check = confirm, not change

The swim isn’t where you win your race.
It’s where you protect your energy for what comes next.

Calm mind. Clear plan. Clean ex*****on.

👉 Comment “coach” if you want to race like this. We have availability to coach more athletes to success and monthly coaching plans for triathlon or other endurance events that fit every budget.

Triathlon race morning should feel familiar, not chaotic.
By this point, everything should already be decided:
your plan for the weather, pacing, and fueling.

For long-distance triathlon, performance doesn’t come from what you do on race morning…
It comes from what you’ve rehearsed in the weeks before. Because anything can happen, as we all know.

The athletes who execute best are thinking less, executing better. Because they have a plan.

✅ Race Morning Focus

✔ Final bike check (confirmation, not changes)
✔ Wetsuit, googles.. exactly as trained
✔ Calm start to the swim to protect energy for the day

You don’t need more stress. You need a plan you trust.

👉 Comment “coach” to get your race plan dialled in properly with coach Rav. He’s only been racing triathlon since 1982…

Racing a triathlon in May or June? This is your swim wake-up call 🏊‍♂️

Open water confidence doesn’t magically appear on race day. It’s built now, in a lake with coaching that actually translates to performance.

That’s exactly what our coached open water sessions are for and they’re now open for booking.

Why it matters:
📊 Most triathlon swim time loss comes from poor sighting + positioning, not fitness
📊 Regular open water training is strongly linked to higher race-day confidence and lower stress in the swim
📊 The biggest gains aren’t speed-based; they’re about control, composure, and efficiency in chaos

These are coached, structured 1:1 or group sessions designed to make race day feel familiar, not frightening.

We are coaching weekend mornings at with . When it gets warmer, they’ll open up for midweek dates.

Why do you do triathlon… and keep coming back? 🤔
Some interesting answers from the Aloha Tri race team here. 🤣

Fast forward one week after Ironman 70.3 Valencia…
and the Aloha Tri team are already booking the next events!

Funny how it starts with a “let me Tri this..”…
and ends with you not being able to stop. Have you caught the bug yet?
🌺

Do you fancy joining the Aloha Tri race team?
Coach Rav has got availability to add more athletes for this or next season. We are talking monthly online coaching via , plus we have one off training sessions and open water swimming available. Just reach out.
