May is Celiac Awareness Month 💚

Two years ago I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, and honestly, it changed my whole life.

What looked like “just food” to other people suddenly became something I had to think about every single day. Reading every label, checking ingredients, asking questions when eating out, worrying about cross contamination, planning meals in advance, and learning that something as small as crumbs can make me ill.

I’m usually “that difficult one” when it comes to eating out, the one who has to ask questions, check menus, and make sure somewhere is safe to eat. But thankfully I have amazing friends and family who are always understanding and who check I’m okay to eat somewhere before we even book it. That kind of support means more than people realise.

It’s not a choice, trend, or preference. Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease where gluten causes damage to the small intestine.

At first it felt overwhelming. Food had always been simple, and suddenly it wasn’t. But over time I’ve learned how to adapt, how to fuel my body properly again, and how to take control of my health.

Being diagnosed gave me answers, but it also meant rebuilding my relationship with food and changing habits I’d had my whole life.

If you know someone with coeliac disease, patience and understanding go a long way. We’re not being difficult, we’re protecting our health.

To anyone newly diagnosed it does get easier. 💚

Upper body pump to start the day 💪🏻🔥
Up early and got it done. wasn’t really feeling it when the alarm went off but that’s usually when you need it most. No shortcuts, just showing up and putting the work in. Trying to stay consistent, build strength and keep improving bit by bit. Some days are harder than others but it all adds up

I don’t post my runs to show off.
I post my runs to show that if I can do it, anyone can.

I don’t share my run pace to show how fast I am.
I share my run pace to show you don’t have to run fast to be a runner.

I don’t run because it’s ‘in’.
I run because it clears my head, challenges my mind and body, and is good for my soul

Fat loss doesn’t need to be complicated. Most people just skip the basics.

5 things that make weight loss actually work:

1️⃣ Sleep
Bad sleep = higher hunger, worse cravings, lower willpower.
7–8 hours isn’t luxury it’s a fat-loss tool.

2️⃣ Water
Dehydration feels like hunger more often than people realise.
Stay hydrated = better energy, better appetite control.

3️⃣ Steps
Your daily movement matters more than one hard workout.
Aim for 8-10k+ steps this is where a lot of calorie burn really happens.

4️⃣ Weight training
Lifting helps you keep muscle while losing fat.
That’s what gives you a “toned” look not just a smaller scale number.

5️⃣ Protein
Keeps you fuller for longer and protects muscle in a deficit.
Try to include a solid protein source at every meal.

Master these before chasing fat burners, detoxes, or extreme diets.

Simple. Boring. Works. 💪

As women get closer to 40, the goal shifts from “smaller” to stronger, steadier, and supported.

Focus on:
• Muscle (protects metabolism)
• Protein (recovery + hormone support)
• Steps (stress regulation)
• Sleep (everything works better)
• Recovery (results happen when you rest)

You don’t need to train harder than you did at 25.

You need to train smarter, recover better, and stop punishing your body for changing.

Longevity over quick fixes. Always ✌🏼

Exercising on holiday is a preference, for me it’s just about moving my body every other day and taking in the beautiful views ✌🏻

Morning run felt good. It’s the fastest I’ve run in a very long time!

Every k was under 6 minutes which I’m buzzing about 🏃🏼‍♀️

Happy Sunday all ✌🏻
