- Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot started for Portugal in a 1-0 victory against the Republic of Ireland tonight.

- Manchester United forward Enzo Kana-Biyik who is currently on loan at INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport scored a hattrick on his France U19 debut this afternoon against Switzerland.

- The Athletic released an article today to discuss the recent rumours over a potential takeover. They confirm that a 'drag along rights' clause was activated in August 2025. This clause exists to prevent minority shareholders (INEOS) blocking a sale if another investor wants to come and buy 100% of the shares.

- The Athletic break this down further. They say that if the Glazers were to seek a full sale before February 2027, then the share price has to be above the $33 Sir Jim Ratcliffe paid in order to make his investment back. Beyond this date, Ratcliffe would be forced to 'drag along' for whatever price the Glazers are willing to accept, even if it falls at a lower price.

- Therefore, it would be in the best interest of the Glazers to conduct any potential sale of the club before February 2027 to maximise profits. At a minimum, any sale before this date would have to meet the valuation that Ratcliffe bought his shares for (so roughly £4.3bn). The share price currently values Manchester United at £2.1bn.

- As per The Athletic, if the Glazers did decide to sell Manchester United, potential buyers include Sheikh Jassim, UAE groups, Saudi investors and several private equity firms.

- As per Fabrizio Romano, during the summer Sporting were pushing for Viktor Gyokeres to sign for Manchester United, even being prepared to accept a lower fixed fee than Arsenal offered but with higher bonuses. However, Gyokeres only wanted Arsenal (feel like we might've dodged a bullet there).

Lisandro Martinez can play in a double pivot midfield with Bruno Fernandes.

He has already played in midfield for Ajax and has the technical ability to make the line breaking passes.
