For me thereโ€™s no such thing as an โ€˜off seasonโ€™ body anymore, Itโ€™s simply just me and I love it! :D Bodybuilding came to an end for me last September and looking back on the past year has made me so grateful for the all the opportunities Iโ€™ve have in life! :D

Competing for 4 years back to back in bodybuilding is something I will never forget and I can be forever proud of! I truly gave it my all and the results spoke for themselves ๐Ÿ†

A powerful word that can carry a lot of weight!

And you should probably start saying it more..

How often have you said โ€˜yesโ€™ to peer pressure?

โ€œJust one donutโ€
โ€œJust one beerโ€
โ€œJust one takeawayโ€
โ€œJust one slice of pizzaโ€

It might not seem a lot at the surface, but those โ€˜yesโ€™ moments add up in the long run!

Iโ€™d argue, the difference between you achieving your goals and not..are the words yes and no

And using them at the right times

Sometimes you might have to skip that glass of wine with your friends, doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t go socialise with them

Sometimes youโ€™re going to need to pass on that takeaway, doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t have a enjoyable meal you love

Yes needs to be used sparingly!

And โ€˜Noโ€™ needs to be said A LOT more for the average person

Youโ€™re not being a buzzkill I promise you

All youโ€™re saying is my goals are more important than the short-term gratification of food, beer, wine etc

Your goals matter, so start treating them that way ๐Ÿฅณ

Itโ€™s funny how some time away from social media can back you feel behind! Over the past 2 weeks, work has been busy and in all honestly Iโ€™ve just taken a little step back from it all ๐Ÿ˜†

Itโ€™s so good to take a break!

This also ties in nicely with fitness! All athletes need a break just like our bodies need a break from diets and training! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

My training in the gym last week took a back seat and instead my focus was on swimming. I LOVED it! When things are super busy I find it hard to go to the gym follow a programme so instead of just sitting at home, I swam everyday! It was great! โค๏ธ

Swimming give you the freedom to go at your own pace (In my case โ€ฆ itโ€™s the slow lane) but also you enables you to relax the mind! I mean my brain never seems to stop thinking but swimming 100% helps to relax me and keeps me active!

๐ŸคชI started swimming just after lock down, I hadnโ€™t been in years and I booked myself onto the fast lane (Wishful thinking Sophie) โ€ฆ The lifeguard came over to me and moved me to the medium lane, I soon then moved to the slow lane where I found my love for swimming! ๐Ÿ˜›

If thereโ€™s one thing to take away from this post ..Learn to take breaks, but also learn to relax! ๐Ÿฅณ

Itโ€™s hard when everything seems to be 100 miles per hour in this day and age! ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

Although it is super fun going fast on Segways๐Ÿ‘Œ

๐Ÿค“I work 9:30-6pm with 1 hour lunch break alongside coaching which I devote my mornings, lunches and evenings too.

Itโ€™s not easy at first trying to fit workouts in when every part of your day is filled with tasksโ€ฆ BUT itโ€™s also NOT impossible to make time!

๐Ÿ˜Now somewhere in that crazy schedule I also make time to workout and keep my fitness up.

๐Ÿ’ชCalories In, Calories Out. It's the only weight loss formula you need!

๐Ÿซ Sorry to be blunt but itโ€™s so true! There is no secret to weight loss, itโ€™s pretty simple when think about it !

๐ŸคซHereโ€™s a little terminology if you are unsure of what I mean:

๐ŸซกCALORIES are used in nutrition to express the energy content of foods ...
I.e Food = Energy - Simple right!

So why do we gain weight even when we are exercising?
Answer - A CALORIE SURPLUS
I.e You are consuming (eating) more food than you are burning in your day to day life.

๐Ÿ˜› If you are someone who knows what there calories should be and you are regular tracker, then you will know when you over eat!

โ˜น๏ธHowever most of the population do not track there calories and probably donโ€™t even know what they are!
