“It can be lovely to have a day where you do not push yourself, but it rarely works out well if you have a life where you do not push yourself.” James Clear (Atomic Habits)
⚡️ Change rarely happens by staying comfortable. When we choose to lean into things that feel challenging, we then start to see real growth.
⚡️This could look like showing up for training on the days motivation is low or making more intentional choices with food even when life feels busy or stressful.
⚡️When we start being ‘comfortable with the uncomfortable’ we begin to step outside our status quo more regularly and our mindset shifts. We stop waiting to feel ready (believe me you never will!) and start taking action.
⚡️A comfortable life may feel easier in the moment, BUT a life where you challenge yourself, even in small ways, opens the door to stronger habits, bigger goals and a version of you that feels capable, resilient and proud of the effort you are putting in.
What are you doing that is making yourself comfortably uncomfortable? 🤔

FREE THE NI**LE!
I had a really honest conversation with a coaching client today. She told me she feels uncomfortable in her gym because of the way some men look and act around her. Not because she doesn’t know what she’s doing (believe me she’s a badass lifting babe 🏋🏽♀️). Also not she feels out of place, but because she feels watched and judged.
And it got me thinking about how many of us have changed what we wear to train or adjust how we train so we don’t sometimes take up space or use equipment that isn’t deemed ‘for us’. I know in the past I’ve worn clothing to cover up, or ensure that bras are padded to cover my ni***es or darker tops to conceal sweat or baggier clothing when I feel uncomfortable in my body and don’t want to be seen. All of these actions down in an effort to avoid drawing attention.
When did that become our responsibility?
Women’s bodies are not inappropriate. Ni***es are not provocative and training hard is not an invitation for commentary or staring. If I have one more ‘can I give you a tip’ comment made by a man I’m literally going to screams.
I say wear what feels good and allows you to move well and makes you feel strong. If that includes padding, great. If it doesn’t then let those ni***es go!
We all deserve to train without self consciousness and take up space. Let us train in what we want without looks, comments and please unless we’re going to injure ourselves no more ‘tips’ thanks.
Curious to know if any of this resonants with you? Have you ever changed your behaviour, clothing, way you train to take up less space or be more accommodating?

I’ve had to pull out of Hyrox London (Olympia) due to injury & have a charity ticket for Women’s Open on Sunday March 29th 12:10-15:10 slot which I can transfer to another person.
Ticket was £81 plus charity commitment. If you or anyone you know might be interested please do let me know as I’m keen to pass on to someone who’d like to race.

NO PLAN 🟰NO PROGRESS
If you’re bouncing from exercise to exercise with no real plan, your body doesn’t know what it’s meant to adapt to. You can feel like you’re working really hard and yet nothing is changing (or it’s also taking a VERY long time).
REAL progress comes from:
- sticking to the basics (and repeating them) 😑
- lifting heavy or at least close to failure 🏋🏽♀️
- training 3-4 times a week 💪🏽
And repeating this over and over and over…. 🔁🔁🔁
I know it sounds a little boring but I promise it does work. It is through this repetition that you can progressively overload your exercises which lead to developing muscle. You also become more confident in your lifting and reduce the likelihood of injury.
If you want to get real, sustainable results, I’ll help you take the guesswork out and have fun in the process! 🤸🏽

New year resolutions AKA goal setting get a bad rep at this time of year. They can feel all or nothing, full of pressure, or like something we’ll either smash perfectly or fail at completely.
Personally I love them- particularly when they are written alongside intentions (or what I also think of as ‘habit setting’). Goals give us direction, but intentions shape how we actually show up day to day. They let us keep challenging ourselves without turning everything into a pass or fail situation.
For me, my intentions for 2026 are to:
- keep challenging myself physically and mentally 💪🏽
- train with purpose 🏋🏽♀️
- stay curious & always learning 🤓
- keep showing up for myself & the women I coach, even when things feel messy or imperfect ✨
My goals that sit underneath these are:
- keep strength training & getting strong AF (properly nailing a hand stand at some point) 💪🏽
- climb a big ass mountain (Mt Snowden is first) 🧗♀️
- compete in 2 more HYROX races this season
- do my first triathlon 🏃🏽♀️🚴♀️🏊♀️
- expand my online coaching business & keep raising the standard of support I offer
- invest more in my CPD because learning & evolving as a coach really matters to me
- be more playful with my training, not taking it all so seriously
None of this needs to happen perfectly or all at once. These goals don’t define my worth or my success, they just give me something to move towards while I keep showing up consistently.
If you’re setting intentions right now, it’s worth asking yourself not just what you want to work towards this year, but how you want it to feel while you’re doing it. And… if you need a coach to help you with this drop me a DM for a free health consultation. I’d love to help!

Final PT session done, the last of the Christmas festivities wrapped up (thanks to for the perfect festive flock) and I’m more than ready for a slower pace. Quiet mornings, time to share good food and cosy nights in feel very welcome right now.
How are you spending the last couple of days before the big guy arrives? 🎄
