A successful Sunday for Barking, two more county titles to add to the collection πŸ†πŸ†

Well done to Jane and Jamie who produced a great performance against Essex county to clinch the mixed pairs title πŸ₯³

Eyes then turned to our O60s Dr Knockout team who was facing clacton. After a 1 shot loss on the Saturday to Falcon the guys put that result aside and came back stronger winning the knockout competition πŸ’ͺ🏻

Well done to all competitors over the weekend, winners and finalist, Barking was represented in 7 of the 16 finals which is a great achievement!

4 county titles, a good year on the county Scene! 🟒βšͺοΈπŸ”΄

They face a Nottingham pair on their own green! Best of luck boys 🟒βšͺοΈπŸ”΄

Barking Duo off to Nottingham with help of a super sub! πŸ‘€πŸ’ͺ🏻

Well done to Dan and Jamie who on Friday evening qualified for this years national finals at Nottingham in the open pairs!

But there was a twist….

Assistance was required from Mark Nullmeyers who was called upon a few hours before the game after Jamie was carrying an injury, not a bad sub πŸ˜‰

Mark and Dan won back to back sets, playing some great ends of bowls against an Ipswich duo who picked up some good wins early on in the competition! Well done Dan, Jamie and of course Mark, a great team effort!

The next game is the 16th of April at 6pm, best of luck lads! 🟒βšͺοΈπŸ”΄

Last weekend saw two national finals take place concerning Barking players. 🟒βšͺοΈπŸ”΄

Friday saw Peter Burnell compete in the National Novice singles final, a tremendous final saw Peter just lose out by two shots! Agonisingly close!
The club are extremely proud of Peters efforts, just getting to a national final is very difficult, so a great achievement!

Saturday the Barking boys joined up with the rest of the county for the Liberty final, again a tremendous game of bowls which went the distance but unfortunately Essex lost out to Lincolnshire who have now won the competition 4 times. well done to team manager Scott and selectors Jamie and Coda who selected a side who managed to win the competition two years on the trot and get to a third final, we are sure the boys will be back in the near future πŸ†πŸ†
