Recovery matters too ✨

After movement, our bodies often need a little time to slow down, release tension, and reset.

These are 6 of my favourite stretch & mobility movements to help unwind after exercise or after a long day - supporting mobility, easing tight muscles, and helping the body feel more balanced again.

Move slowly. Breathe deeply. Give your body a little care after all it has done for you.🤍

Small prop, big difference ✨

The Pilates overball may be small, but it can bring a whole new dimension to your practice. It helps you focus, deepen awareness, improve control, and create that balance between strength and ease that Pilates does so beautifully.

These movements are part of a class just released inside the membership, and one lovely member shared afterwards:

Movement doesn’t always have to leave us exhausted. Sometimes we can feel both stronger and calmer when we finish than when we began.

I realised recently that although many of you practise with me regularly, I have never properly introduced myself or shared much about my journey.

So here is a little glimpse into the path that brought me to Pilates and yoga - from childhood in East Germany, to dance training, moving to London, discovering mindful movement, and over 20 years of teaching.

To move with control, awareness, and breath - rather than speed or force.

This is the way I like to practice and teach Pilates.

Hello May! 🌸

As we move into a new month, it’s a good moment to check in with yourself.

Not ‘what should I be doing?’ but rather ‘what would actually support me right now?’

One of the most common questions I get is: how often should I be doing Pilates?
And the truth is, it’s not just about doing more - it’s about moving little and often, finding consistency with shorter sessions, and showing up in a way that feels sustainable. This is how your Pilates practice can support the other ways you move in your life.

This is why I love creating the monthly movement calendars inside the membership - to help you find your rhythm, stay consistent, and take the guesswork out.

Some days that might be a full class, other days something shorter… and sometimes rest is the most needed choice of all.
