We’re also incredibly proud of our RDA riders who were awarded their progress certificates and badges today, a real celebration of hard work, determination and progress 💚

Today I (Caprice) said goodbye to my clients. I want to wish each and every one of you well for your future riding endeavours. I’m sure you’ll all miss my witty comments and “SIT UP”s and most importantly the “DON’T YOU DARE FALL OFF!!!” You’ve all come on SO much from when I first started and I’m immensely proud of all of you. Myself and Darcy will miss you all dearly!

Our Lead Coach, Caprice, will soon be moving on from Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre. We’d like to thank her for the care and commitment she has brought to the role and wish her every success in what comes next.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to be recruiting for a new Senior Coach to lead our equine and riding programme. This is a hands-on, horse-centred role in a busy and friendly charity, supporting children and young people — many with additional needs — through riding and equine activities.

As we draw to a close for the year we want to wish all of our riders, volunteers and everyone else who visits the centre a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

This year has seen massive change with Tonya taking over the reins of the pony centre as CEO and the arrival of Caprice as yard manager. We’ve said hello to Caprice’s horse Darcy who’s been a valuable asset to the pony centre and we’ve also said goodbye to Honey and Lissa who are thriving in retirement. This year has been a rollercoaster but we can’t wait to deliver more riding and equine therapy to new and existing clients in 2026.

Another council vet inspection passed ⭐️
Today we had a council vet inspection and I am happy to report our horses passed with a comment from the vet on how well and how fit they all currently are!
Fab work from all the team on a successful year! Only just over a week of term left before our horses have their well deserved winter break.
