Throwing your hooks without rotating? 👀

Read below and how to fix your hook👇🏻

One of the biggest mistakes I see beginners make is trying to generate power with their arms alone.

A strong lead hook starts from the ground up. Rotate on your lead foot, turn your hip through the shot, and let your body do the work. You’ll generate more power, improve your balance, and recover into a solid position much quicker.

In this clip, I’m breaking down exactly how to use your foot and hip together to throw a cleaner, more effective lead hook.

Train the technique first. The power will follow. 👊

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is focusing so much on protecting their head that they leave their body wide open.

In this reel, I break down a simple adjustment to your guard that helps you defend body shots while protecting your head as well.

Good defence isn’t just about avoiding punches, it’s about putting yourself in the best position to fire back with the correct hand positioning.

Train the basics. Master the fundamentals. The results will follow.

If you aren’t using the pendulum squat in your leg days…you probably should…✅

For most clients, especially beginners, the pendulum squat is one of the best exercises for building stronger, bigger legs while minimising the technical demands of a barbell squat.

Foot placement tips 👇🏻

* Feet lower on the platform: More knee travel, greater quad emphasis.
* Feet higher on the platform: Slightly more glute involvement.
* Narrow stance: More quad focus.
* Wider stance: More glutes and adductors.

Wow…time flies! 🤯

In 2022 I started boxing classes for the teachers at a school in Mitcham every friday! 🥊

Today…4 years later…I had a first session back on the pads with one of them!

She hasn’t put a pair of gloves on once during that time.

Back to it with a BANG 💥💥💥

What supplements do you take? 💊

Here’s what I take daily and why!👇🏻

1️⃣ Creatine (Every Morning)
💪 Why I take it: Creatine helps increase strength, power, and training performance. It also supports muscle recovery and can help improve muscle fullness by increasing water content within muscle cells. Consistency is key, which is why I take it every day.

2️⃣ Vitamin D + K (Daily)
☀️ Why I take it: Vitamin D supports immune function, muscle function, and bone health. Vitamin K works alongside vitamin D to help ensure calcium is used effectively for bone health and overall wellbeing.

3️⃣ Protein Shake (45 Minutes Before Training)
🥤 Why I take it: Protein provides the amino acids needed for muscle repair and growth. Having a shake before training helps ensure my body has the nutrients available to support performance, recovery, and muscle development.

4️⃣ Carb Powder + BCAA Amino Hydrate (During Training)
⚡ Why I take it: Fast-digesting carbohydrates help fuel my workout and maintain energy levels throughout training. BCAA Amino Hydrate provides essential amino acids and hydration support, helping to reduce muscle breakdown, support recovery, and keep me performing at my best during longer or more intense sessions.

Supplements are there to support the fundamentals—not replace them. Consistent training, quality nutrition, good sleep, and recovery will always be the biggest drivers of results. 💯

This boxing mistake is getting you hit👇🏻

🥊 The jab is the most important punch in boxing… but it’s also the one I see performed incorrectly most often.

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is dropping their rear hand when they jab.

Not only does it reduce your defensive position, but it leaves you wide open for a counter shot.

Instead:
✅ Keep your rear hand glued to your cheek
✅ Extend the jab without sacrificing your guard
✅ Return straight back to your starting position

Small adjustments like this can make a huge difference to your technique, power and defence.

Give this a try in your next session and let me know how you get on.

5 Reasons You’re Not Seeing Results Despite Training 👇

You’re showing up to the gym, putting in the work, and still not seeing the progress you want.

Here are 5 common mistakes I see holding people back:

👉🏻 1. You’re not progressively overloading ❌

Doing the same weights, reps, and exercises week after week gives your body no reason to adapt.

To build muscle and strength, you need to gradually challenge yourself over time.

Small improvements add up.

👉🏻 2. You’re not eating enough protein ❌

You can’t expect your body to recover and build muscle without the right fuel.

Protein is essential for recovery, performance, and body composition.

Training hard but neglecting nutrition is like trying to drive a car with no fuel.

👉🏻 3. You’re inconsistent ❌

Training hard for one week and then disappearing for the next two won’t get you far.

Results come from consistency, not perfection.

The people who make the best progress aren’t always the most talented—they’re the ones who keep showing up.

👉🏻 4. You’re not recovering properly ❌

More isn’t always better.

Poor sleep, high stress levels, and lack of recovery can slow progress, impact performance, and increase injury risk.

Recovery is where the results actually happen.

👉🏻 5. You don’t have a structured plan ❌

Walking into the gym and making it up as you go might feel productive, but it often leads to wasted effort.

A structured programme gives you direction, accountability, and measurable progress.

Train with purpose.

Which one do you think is holding you back right now? 👇
