I am Jon, I am 48 years old and been playing golf since I was 5.

A career in Hospitality Management has taught me so much, learning to manage, teach and coach an array of different people from different cultures. This in tandem with playing, coaching and managing in sports (mainly football and golf) with adults and kids led me to my career as a Golf Coach.

I like to create the right base in my own game and walk the walk, sharp routines, good course management and etiquette. I won a few decent things along the way so understand how to make the most of all components of your game for competition as well as fun. I currently play to around scratch but constantly looking to improve and my game is on a consistent journey of learning and improvement.

While I am still in the relative early days of my coaching career, I retain a confidence that I can help golfers of any standard improve their game using solid technique, good questioning skills and core values. The client is always the coach’s most valuable asset! I am confident I can do this while always maintaining positive and energetic relationships with clients, whether they be adults or kids. I have now completed WGTF levels 1, 2 and 3 and will be soon attending NLP Practioners and Mastery courses.

I like to teach as much on the course as at the range or bays as in the end it gives a better understanding to both client and coach what the right direction and priority points are before making the right plan together. As well as teaching experienced golfers I also love working with beginners and kids (channelling my inner 8 year old!) so feel comfortable working in most situations. I have my DBS checks, Liability Insurance and Safeguarding certificates available on request.
