Helping modern women up-level their mindset, expand their confidence and activate their potential

Oh Pumpkin Spice season I have missed you 🤤

I love the energy of fall...

It’s hands down my favourite time of the year.

I love the crisp cool air cutting through the remaining rays of sunshine.

I love walking through pockets of crumpled up leaves with my classy-as* winter boots.

I love the magic of bright City lights firing up the dark skies.

The cosiness of those early nights in.

Mmm... Just delicious, that Pumpkin Spice 🍂

And in all of that I also love the renewed vigour as we make that final mighty little hustle before the year draws to a close.

And this year, more so than any other, I am FEELING IT.

Taking stock of all that has happened this year.

Taking the learnings, the growth and the lessons (and boy — there had been some this year).

Shedding old layers and old parts of me that no longer serve me and that are no longer needed, or welcome.

And — with my classy-as* winter boots — stepping into powerful shifts in the making.

Reaching for my next level.

What are you reaching for in this final quarter? 💃🏽

Let me know 👇🏼

As I grow, and my coaching practice evolves with me, one of the most common – and potentially biggest – mistakes I see people (myself included – hey, I’m on this journey with you 🧞‍♀️) make in effectively instilling change is focusing all of their efforts on the DOING.

We’re taught that in order to get from A to B we just gotta figure out the right steps, right?

If you want to grow in confidence — do things that grow your confidence.
If you want to be a better speaker — practice speaking.
If you want to lose weight — follow a meal plan.
If you want to escape stress — meditate.
If you want to find a life partner — download Tinder and swipe to your heart’s content.

Make sense, doesn’t it?

Well.

It does and it doesn’t.

Yes, you doing the things will help you get up the curve of change.

BUT!!

The fastest and surest way to drive real + sustainable results that are in with your vision of life is backing the action with the right energy behind it.

Who do you need to BE as the vehicle of this change?

What EMOTIONS must you be reaching for to fuel this journey?

What BELIEFS do you need to let go of to reduce the carrying load?

Yes, DO the DO-ing.

But don’t forget to BE in the BE-ing.
The THINK-ing.
The FEEL-ing.

That’s where you create change.
That’s where you drive transformation.
That’s where you find freedom.

At the intersection of who you are being, how you are feeling, what you are believing and the aligned action you are taking.

DM me if you’re ready to drive change in your life and would like some help.

Us people get frustrated when we lose our balance.
Like we start chasing our tail.
Feeling like we’re failing somewhere (or most likely EVERY-where).

But here’s the thing I have come to understand about .

Sometimes it’s about not having any.

BECAUSE you’re raising a child.
BECAUSE you’re starting a business.
BECAUSE you’ve fallen in love.

You just CANNOT spin ALL of the plates ALL of the time.

And you know what?

That is OK.

Simply because you DO NOT HAVE TO spin all of the plates all of the time.

Accept that things are going to be messy at times.
Accept that things are going the be out of control.
Accept that you’re not always going to get to the gym.
Accept that you’re not always going to have your green juice on hand.
Accept that you are not always going to be balanced.

And that, sometimes, by holding onto the idea of balance you’re MASSIVELY over-complicating things for yourself and pushing yourself further away from it.

Are you hearing what I said just now???

Life is constantly changing.

YOU are constantly changing.
Evolving.
Adapting.

So how about you just let some things go for a while?

Or maybe… forever?

Outrageous, I know.

Seriously though – how about you do exactly that?

Health is not eating a salad and going to the gym.

Freedom is not doing whatever you want.

Joy is not just living high vibe.

All of it is so much more than you think.

It is what you’re feeding your MIND.

It is how you’re MOVING your body.

It is the THOUGHTS you’re having ABOUT your body.

It’s the EMOTIONS you choose to wake up to.

It’s making time for sleep, rest and RECOVERY.

It’s the RELATIONSHIPS you build and surround yourself with.

It’s having difficult CONVERSATIONS without inflicting pain.

It’s FORGIVING yourself when you act out of integrity.

It’s REGULATING your nervous system without numbing out or hiding away.

It is the VISION you allow yourself to dream up.

It is having the COURAGE to back yourself up.

It is having the BALLS to make big money moves.

It is DARING to start thinking different thoughts.

It is CHOOSING to start making different choices.

It is having the CONFIDENCE to lead yourself in a way you have never led yourself before.

THAT is health.

THAT is freedom.

THAT is joy.

DM me about 1:1 coaching if you’re ready to start choosing differently.

You already know ALL the things that you should be doing.

To drive your business forward.
To get out there and create new, meaningful relationships that excite you.
To get rid of the cranky anxiety train, or lose those pesky few pounds.

Your head knows it all.
You’ve got every strategy under the sun.
You’ve bought all the gear you might need before you get going.

But time seems to dwindle.
You get distracted.
Fear slowly creeps in.
Or you simply forget.

Damn.

Tomorrow.

Or maybe try something different this time?
Maybe the keto diet?
Maybe a webinar funnel?
Maybe your morning routine lacks cold water swimming?

Maybe.

Or maybe – just maybe – you need to STOP.

If all you’re doing is leading from the HEAD, you ain’t gna get anywhere.

Your head’s done its job – it’s given you strategies. MORE than you need.

It’s also probably given you a few good excuses.
Fears and anxieties.
Reasons why you shouldn’t be doing whatever it is it told you to be doing in the first place (funny that).

So here you are.

Somewhere between your head and your heart you just can’t seem to get going.

But it isn’t because you don’t have enough strategies, or know HOW to.

It’s because the aligned action is not coming from your HEART.

Where your DESIRE — not the strategy — was born in the first place.

So stop THINKING of more strategies.
Stop THINKING yourself into doing.
Stop THINKING yourself into success.

Your work right now is to align your head with your heart.

Let me help you.

Let’s talk.

A little reminder… In case you forgot today 🤍

There is no single way of doing life.

There is no checklist to complete.
No universal blueprint to success, freedom, love, joy.
You’re not here to be someone or somewhere by a certain age.

To have a certain career.
Earn a certain salary.
Be a certain dress size.
Be in a certain kind of relationship, or any at all.

All those rules, standards, milestones and expectations you’ve been following…

WHOSE EVEN ARE THEY??

And what about what YOU want?
What do YOU want to get out of your time here?
How do YOU want to live your life?
What rings true deep down at the seat of YOUR SOUL?

Recognise you have so much freedom to be and do anything you wish and desire, and there’s literally no way you can mess it up if you’re setting your own standard.

And it all starts with one tiny, little question…

What do YOU want?

DM me and let’s talk if you’re ready to ditch the nonsense and create a life on your terms.

What have you got to lose? It’s free.

Everyone wants to know how to best keep it together.

How do we not let things affect us?
How do we stay unwavered in face of challenge and adversity?
How do we not lose our sh*t when we’re being triggered?

Here’s what the more obvious answers might sound like:

Meditate.
Breathe.
Cry.
Journal.
Be in nature.
Walk, run, dance... Do anything to move, shake, dust the energy off.
Find gratitude.
Practice acceptance.

There are literally countless ways to regulate + re-balance your nervous system.

Some more widely accepted. Some deeply individual.

When working with clients I always encourage + support every single one of them to find, and keep experimenting with, what works for them individually.

But in a world that strives to stay zen at all times and often rid itself of any ‘negative’ emotion or reaction, I think there’s a bigger question here that needs asking...

Do you always need to NOT let things affect you?

Is being unwavered through your triggers always the best route to be taking?

Or are there sometimes important truths + messages for us to receive when we ALLOW things to affect us?

Messages about what is + what isn’t working.
About what we desire + what we do not.
Who we want + do not want to share our time + energy with.
Which people, places + situations serve us, and which simply do not.

Because life inevitably happens.

And when it does, we’re often so focused on keeping our sh*t together – or THINKING we’re keeping our sh*t together via eating + drinking + s*x + shopping… – that we miss important messages that nudge us to pivot, evolve and adapt.

In short then, YES look for ways to ground yourself, stay level-headed and resilient, but don’t shield yourself from important nuggets of wisdom life is sending your way.

Your triggers can be a compass, if you let them.

Humour me one sec, will you...

What would your life look like in 6 months' time if everything was EXACTLY as you want it to be?

Where would you be?
What would you be doing?
Who would you be spending time with?

In that moment, 6 months from now, who are you BEING?

How do you speak?
How do you move?
How do you think?

How do you FEEL when in 6 months’ time everything is EXACTLY as you want it to be?

Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, financially...

You could be in a drastically different place in 6 months’ time.

If you start taking small steps today.

I’ve got three 1:1 coaching spots coming up for September kick-off if you want your life to look completely different in six months’ time AND you’re ready to take the first step now 🧞‍♀️

If that is you, all you gotta do is DM me... ESPECIALLY if you like surprises 😈

As a life coach I’m all about supporting people in living their best lives and being their best selves.

But as I reflect my own journey with personal growth, and some of the trends I see thrown around in the coaching industry, I’m beginning to realise there’s a BIG difference between healthy striving for personal growth and relentless growth OBSESSION.

This need to ALWAYS be growing.
Healing ALL of your wounds.
Clearing ALL of your blocks.

Being your BESTEST self.
Living your BESTEST life.
Having the BEST career, health, love, s*x, connection to Universe.

I don’t know about you but that’s a HECK OF A LOT of pressure to perform and — really — it’s just another form of hustle.

A spiritual hustle, of sorts.

Hustle which over time morphs into a never-ending game of expanding visions, moving targets and expectations, eventually calling into question the very thing you sought to achieve in the first place…

Joy.
Peace.
Love.
Wealth.

I’m all up for growth and expansion, but you don’t ALWAYS need to be growing.
You don’t always have to be striving.
You don’t always have to have it together.

Yes, have goals, dream big and keep working on yourself, but don’t forget that a big part of the growth cycle is giving yourself the time and space for things to integrate.

To let yourself be.
To let things get messy.
To play and have fun.
To let all of that growth sink in.

Your growth isn’t supposed to be another reason for you burning out.

Happy Monday y’all

“Does everyone have to like their job?” – a question I hear often.

Typically within the context of feeling stuck. Unfulfilled. Stressed. Exhausted.

As the people I speak to assess the impact that work has on all of the other areas of their life – health, family, joy (I know, who still remembers that one… 🤷) – inevitably the question lands on the table...

“Does everyone have to like their job?”

Well... The truth?

No.

Not everyone has to.

Your career is a vehicle that serves a whole range of purposes – money, learning, fulfilment, achievement, community, impact…

The list is long and each one of us will value different aspects in different measures.

Professional fulfilment might be top of your list, or it might not make the list at all.

Either one of those is OK.

But if professional fulfilment and job satisfaction is something that you value and that contributes to your overall sense of purpose and wellbeing, then YES – you should enjoy a good chunk of it.

Not all of it – that’s plain unrealistic, but a chunk of it.

And if that is important to you, then I always think it’s a shame to not find out what that looks like.

I hope this message finds you when it needs to.

Here’s the thing about us highly analytical “head” people.

We like to think.

Over-analyse.

Go-down “this, that, and the other” rabbit holes.

We’re hungry for knowledge.

For answers.

We need everything to be PERFECT and CERTAIN before taking action.

Instead of climbing our mountains, we stay cuddled up over in Base Camp, thinking ourselves out of leaving to conquer.

If you’ve been sitting on something that you damn well know needs to change, this is your cue to stop thinking.

Stop thinking, get them boots on and start hikin’ 🥾
