As a holistic psychology expert, I've witnessed the profound potential within each woman, each person. It's collected from our aspirations, talents, and dreams that shapes our essence. Yet, it's often self-doubt, external pressures, or fear that limit us from reaching our full potential.

I've come to realise that growth and fulfillment come from venturing beyond our comfort zones, embracing change despite its challenges. This journey demands self-belief, resilience, and a readiness to confront obstacles head-on. Trust me, this path is ongoing, even for someone like me.

In the face of adversity, the moments that test us most become the fire where our true selves are forged. Our perseverance, learning, and growth during these times define our resilience and progress. Acknowledging these steps isn't just progress; it's embodying the qualities that lead to your aspirations.

This journey is transformative. Your potential knows no boundaries. You possess the resilience needed to evolve into the person you've always aspired to become. Each day presents an opportunity to move closer to this realisation. Don't hesitate; pursue your dreams with unwavering determination and self-compassion, allowing your authentic self to radiate.

Unlocking our true selves through authenticity is key to holistic wellness. Embracing authenticity enhances psychological resilience, fosters self-acceptance, and promotes overall well-being.

Let your journey towards self-discovery be guided by mindfulness, self-care, and genuine connections. Remember, authenticity resonates deeper in a world craving genuine souls.

The 10 most common mental health and wellbeing issues among women include:

1. Stress and Anxiety: As women, we often juggle multiple roles and responsibilities. Balancing work, family, health, social and personal life can be overwhelming. Carrying the emotional load for a household can feel impossible.

2. Depression: Did you know that women are around twice as likely than men to be diagnosed with depression? Hormonal changes, life transitions, and societal pressures can contribute to this.

3. Body Image and Self-esteem: Society's unrealistic beauty standards can impact our own self-esteem and body image, creating low self-confidence and body dissatisfaction.

4. Trauma and PTSD: Women who have experienced traumatic events, such as violence, physical/emotional abuse or sexual assault, develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and ongoing mental health challenges.

5. Perinatal Mental Health: Pregnancy, negative birth experience and the postpartum period can bring about mood disorders like postpartum depression, psychosis and anxiety, deeply affecting a woman's mental.

6. Eating Disorders: Conditions like anorexia and bulimia disproportionately affect women, often related to complex social, biological and psychological factors. Frequent dieting is a risk factor which is also related to body image and societal pressures.

7. Relationship Issues: Difficulties in relationships, including romantic relationships, friendships, and family dynamics, can lead to a decline in self-esteem, energy levels, and overall happiness.

8. Work-Life Balance: Balancing career aspirations with personal life and family responsibilities can lead to burnout and ongoing mental and physical exhaustion.

9. Social Isolation: Loneliness and social isolation can be particularly prevalent among women, especially in older age or after significant life changes.

10. Financial Stress: Economic gender disparities and financial stressors can affect mental wellbeing, especially for women who may face wage gaps, economic inequality and mothers who may be balancing raising children with having a career.

I cannot express in stronger terms how crucial it is that we insist on a ceasefire in Gaza now so that we can focus on finding peaceful ways forward.

We must stand together, united for peace, compassion and a world where the fundamental rights of every individual are respected and protected.

There is no time to wait: the war crimes that are being committed are a daily reality and thousands of innocent lives are being lost. Children being pulled from the rubble daily. Their families gone. My heart aches for the innocent communities enduring unimaginable suffering, amidst harrowing conditions and immense sorrow.

So while our hearts resonate with empathy for the innocent people affected by the ongoing conflict. It is crucial that we unite in our call for a ceasefire, recognising the collective humanity that binds us all. Ceasefire so that we can stop genocide against innocent people and begin peaceful and productive talks to resolve this crisis of humanity.

Let's channel our empathy into action:

1. Donate for Humanitarian Aid: Extend a helping hand by contributing to reputable organisations providing humanitarian aid to those caught in the crossfire. Try UN, UNICEF or Red Cross. Your donation can make a meaningful impact by providing water, food, medicine, clothing, access to medical services.

2. Sign Petitions for Government Support: Advocate for peace by signing petitions urging your government to support a ceasefire and diplomatic solutions. Governments play a crucial role in shaping international responses, and collective voices can amplify the call for urgent action.

3. Raise Awareness through Dialogue: Engage in open, informed discussions about the realities of the conflict. By fostering awareness, we can break through misconceptions and promote understanding, paving the way for a more compassionate global response.

March in solidarity, make a noise, join the conversation, do whatever you can.

Together, let's stand united for peace, compassion, and a world where the fundamental rights of every individual are respected and protected.

Charlotte x

Emotional intelligence in relationships looks like 👇🏻

* Awareness of your own internal world (emotions, beliefs, values, etc.).
* Demonstrating awareness & empathy for your partner's experiences.
* Recognising how your upbringing (or previous relationships) might still be impacting you and your current relationships.
* Willingness to be open & honest about your feelings & experiences.
* Understanding your triggers & using regulation skills to calm down.
* The ability to be open-minded and consider other perspectives.
* Showing your partner patience & grace when they make a mistake.
* Acquiring and practicing the necessary skills to have hard convos.
* Allowing for intimacy & closeness and working through fears around this.
* Being sensitive to both your AND your partner's areas of struggle.
* Knowing that perfection isn't a pre-requisite for giving or receiving love.

Do you find these the most magnetic traits for a healthy and reciprocal relationship? What would you add?

Reiki benefits your mind, your body and your soul ✌🏻💫🤍🪩

Did you know? Part of my holistic wellbeing toolkit includes energetic practitioner work like Reiki.

Reiki promotes balance and harmony within the energetic systems of the body.

Through the practice of Reiki, we also experience personal growth, enhanced intuition, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our life path.

Here are some more mind, body and soul benefits of Reiki.

Mind Benefits:
1. Stress Reduction: Reiki alleviates stress by promoting relaxation and inducing a state of calm. This can lead to improved mental clarity and reduced anxiety.
2. Emotional Balance: Reiki aids in releasing emotional blockages and supporting emotional healing. It can encourage a sense of emotional equilibrium and improved mood.
3. Mindfulness and Awareness: During a Reiki session, we often become more aware of our thoughts, emotions, and sensations. This heightened awareness can enhance mindfulness and self-reflection.

Body Benefits:
1. Relaxation: Reiki can induce a deep state of relaxation, which may help reduce muscle tension, ease pain, and support overall relaxation.
2. Pain Management: Some individuals report a reduction in pain levels after Reiki sessions. This effect might be due to the relaxation response triggered by Reiki.
3. Improved Sleep: Many people experience better sleep quality after Reiki sessions, likely due to the relaxation effects and reduction in stress and anxiety.

Soul Benefits:
1. Spiritual Connection: Reiki can foster a sense of spiritual connection and inner peace. It may provide us with a means to connect with our higher selves or a greater universal energy.
2. Self-Discovery: Reiki sessions might lead to greater self-awareness and self-discovery. It can encourage us to explore our inner world and gain insights into their spiritual journey.
3. Release of Energetic Blockages: Reiki aims to clear energetic blockages and imbalances. This can lead to a sense of lightness and freedom, allowing for personal growth and transformation.

Have you ever tried Reiki? Let me know if you have any questions 👇🏻

Sometimes being selfless or going out of our way to help someone else is the most beautiful act of compassion for another 🤍

However, when we are constant hiding parts of ourselves in order to be accepted, or when our own needs go unmet on a regular basis, we run the risk of burn out and we are not acting in a way that honours who we are and what we need. We are abandoning ourselves.

So how can we act in a way that is aligned with our core values and honours our authentic nature?

1. Reflect: Pause. Make time to explore your thoughts and feelings. What is important to you? Gain self-awareness.
2. Nurture: Prioritise self-care to fuel your mental and physical wellbeing.
3. Communicate: Share your thoughts and feelings with trusted friends and loved ones.

Self-awareness is the path to inner growth.

Do you think you will give this a try? Let me know lovely ones 🤍

I want to share something with you. A phrase that changed my life 🤍

It’s something that came to me during my own growth and healing journey.

Are you ready?

What is meant to be yours will come to you, when you take inspired action and if it doesn’t stay then it wasn’t meant to be yours. There’s something that’s made just for you right around the corner, if you just let go and trust. Rejection is the universe's way of redirecting you towards your true path. Towards the thing that was always meant to be yours.

Don’t hold on so tight. Breathe and let go. If it’s for you, it will stay. And it will feel wonderful. That’s how you’ll know 🤍

This 👇🏻

10 ways to show up for yourself:

1. Commit to habits, practices, routines and rituals that are good for your wellbeing - even when you don't want to. Especially when you don’t want to.
2. Allow yourself to feel your full range of feelings without labelling it as wrong, bad or negative.
3. Practice listening to your needs and discovering different ways of meeting those needs.
4. Practice self-forgiveness; for not being perfect, for choices you made, for your past, for what you don't already know and for making mistakes sometimes.
5. Let yourself start again, over and over, as often as needed.
6. Take care of your basic needs: stay hydrated, get enough sleep, move your body and eat well.
7. Give yourself permission to rest, to take breaks and to have down time.
8. Spend quality time with yourself: reading, writing, creating, moving your body and getting to know who you are underneath who you think you should be.
9. Use a lens of curiosity and compassion with yourself as often as possible.
10. Remind yourself that you are as worthy of being shown up for as anyone else in life. Make yourself a priority in your own life.

The way you nurture yourself determines the quality of your wellbeing.

Do you think you’ll give these a try? Let me know in the comments 🤍

Did you know that anger is actually a secondary emotion?

Another, more vulnerable emotion such as fear, frustration, anxiety, sadness, or feeling diminished, inevitably precedes the experience of anger.

Generally, anger replaces these primary emotions so quickly that we rarely acknowledge the depth of what's triggering our anger.
Beneath the primary emotions lie unmet needs.

Our anger steps forward to protect us.
Be kind to yourself today, gently enquire within. How are you feeling? What do you need? What boundaries could you set?

You've got this.
