We held our Club Workday at OAs today, expertly organised by Ian Goodhew, Alastair Carnegie and Piers Cleaver and a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help around the club and contribute to another successful day.
Special thanks must also go to our valued sponsors, Carty Forde and Obelisk for their generous support and assistance throughout the day. Your continued backing of the club is greatly appreciated.

Noah Lienafa, OAs’ Player of the Season, earned his second Kent Seniors cap today and made his first start after coming off the bench in last week’s fixture.
It was a tough challenge against a Cornwall side packed with Nat 1 players, but Noah more than held his own. In fact, many observers including the Kent forwards coach felt he was deserving of the Kent MOTM award.
A fantastic way to finish the season. Now for a well earned four week break before pre-season begins! 😂

We are planning the whole Club workday on Saturday 6th June and have once again listed this on the Big Help Out as being a public event.
Along with a Club Age Grade and seniors kit sort out and clean we will need lots of help with painting, mending, cleaning, gardening and general DIY tasks around the Club and grounds.
More details will follow, but please do reserve some time on this day in your diaries to come along and help us.
Four of our biggest sponsors have already volunteered their help on the day which is fantastic, but we need LOTS more volunteers of all ages to help with all the various tasks.

All the best to Kaj Douglas who plays tomorrow for Finland against Luxembourg in the Rugby European Conference competition. The match will be played just outside Helsinki and will be the group title decider.

Mens
2s v Tonbridge Juddians 2s (H) 53 – 17 Win
The final match of the season for an OAs men’s side saw the 2s take on TJs 2s, who have now secured the league title with 17 wins and just 3 losses.
OAs started strongly, opening the scoring with the first try, but allowed TJs back into the game shortly after. With a dominant platform provided by the pack, the OAs backs had plenty of quality ball and were able to control the game. Several tries came from the backs, but this was very much a collective performance showcasing how the OAs 2s can play at their best.
A strong team display and an excellent win to finish the season, setting things up nicely for next season.
Thanks also to Jake Awaydays for running touch for the 2s during the season.

✨ Cape to Clubhouse: A South African Wine Tasting at Old Alleynians Rugby Clubhouse✨🍷🇿🇦
The Cape calls. As the English evenings stretch a little longer, we’re bringing the warmth of the South African winelands to the Old Alleynians Rugby Clubhouse for a night of eight expressive wines, district storytelling and proper Cape hospitality. From the granite hills of Swartland to the ocean-cooled rows of Constantia, every glass is a small journey through one of the world’s most exciting wine countries — poured, talked through and enjoyed among friends.
Across four whites and four reds, we’ll move from a crisp Cap Classique opener through flagship varieties — Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Swartland Syrah and a classic Cape Bordeaux blend — each paired with tasting snacks. Stay on after the tasting for a braai with boerewors to purchase, and the clubhouse bar will be pouring until 10pm.
The wonderful line up of wines will be presented by Dean Totham - Dulwich resident and certified SA wine specialist and owner of our local Winoship Wines from www.winoship.com
