We all clapped for the NHS during COVID but where’s that support now? 🤔
The people who hold our health service together deserve more than applause.
They deserve our enduring respect, recognition and of course a runaround!
That’s why we started the Health Workers Cup:
🏃 A break from the grind for staff
💸 Raise money for NHS Charities
🔗 Build a lasting bond between football and healthcare
A tournament for the team we all support ⚽💙

It’s been a little quiet here recently. I had to step away for a time due to a serious family illness.
Thanks to the outstanding care and expertise of the NHS teams at Coventry Hospital, what began as an incidental finding led to a life-changing journey and now, thankfully, a cancer-free outcome.
This experience has made the Health Workers Cup feel more important than ever. It’s a powerful reminder of why we do this: to recognise and celebrate the NHS staff who care for us all.
Thank you for your patience and support. A full tournament update is coming next week 💙

The NHS Cup is proud to be raising money for NHS Charities Together.
This tournament isn’t just about football — it’s about community, recognition, and giving back to the people who give so much.
By supporting NHS Charities Together, we’re helping to fund vital projects across the country: from mental health support for NHS staff, to wellbeing hubs in hospitals, to initiatives that benefit patients, carers, and local communities.

Hey. We know we've been quiet these past few months, but trust us — it's for a good reason. All we can say is, the wait will be more than worth it. Stay tuned!

NHSFC are proud to announce a new coaching partnership with the FAW 🏴
Together, we aim to encourage NHS staff to embark on a coaching journey that will equip them with the necessary skills to coach football in their local communities.
Through this partnership, we aspire to create a network of coaches who can inspire and support their colleagues and local communities to lead healthy and active lifestyles through football.
We're excited to announce that we're offering, an initial 10 paid places to NHS staff to join the FAW Football Leaders Award [online]. Further places on the coaching course we will be offered to NHS staff at a subsidised rate.
To apply, click the link in our bio and take the first step towards becoming a football coach.
Keep following us on Instagram to stay up to date about future coaching opportunities.

We are beyond thrilled to reach 1000 followers on Instagram!
To celebrate this milestone, we want to give a little something to a lucky member of NHS staff. We are giving away a football shirt to a lucky NHS staff member!
To enter, simply tag a NHS staff member you know in the comments below. If you want you can even tag yourself 😉
We will randomly select winner this Friday and send them a shirt of their choice.
Thank you for your support!

Who's in your team of the year?
NHS staff are the backbone of our healthcare system, yet they often don't receive the fair pay they deserve. It's time for that to change.
