Well firstly, hello 👋🏼 yes. I’m alive and making my first post on social media in WEEKS
Life has been manic and I’m back in London after the MOST wonderful 10 days back home in South Africa 🇿🇦 almost 3 years since I’ve seen my beautiful family and the trip was so important 🙏🏻
A little something I thought I would touch on, and that is “training / gyming on holiday”
The amount of messages and “calling out” I got in my dm’s about taking time out, relaxing, not being so busy all the time, giving myself a break, questioning why I was working out when I was supposed to be on holiday …
These conversations can go one of 2 ways. It’s a preference at the end of the day. Do I enjoy working out? YES. Does movement make me feel good? YES? Do I do it often - absolutely, it’s good for me, my body and my mind.
Working out should never come from guilt. Or fear. NEVER. If you want to move your body, do it, if you don’t feel like it, then don’t. Easy peasy lemon squeezy 🍋
Think twice before questioning somebody on their actions. Instead of asking “why are you working out on holiday” rather turn inward and ask YOURSELF, “why am I bothered about you working out on holiday”
I can assure you, you’ll get a very different kind of answer 😉

“I stuck to my plan all week and went off the rails on the weekend” 🤷♀️🤦♀️ I hear it all the time.
Can you do both ? Can you reach your goals and still have a social life? YES ! Absolutely- but if it’s weight loss and performance goals you’re after, your social life will come with a few sacrifices. AND If you’re serious about your goals, those sacrifices won’t be a problem.

… AND THAT IS OK. It’s fine for something to be a struggle. It’s fine when life gets in the way and it’s also fine when out priorities change.
THAT IS LIFE. Ride the wave. Trust the process. Embrace the uncertainty.
And with that being said, Know the difference between a goal that is challenging that you NEED to work hard at, that doesn’t come easily … and a lifestyle that is not easy because you’re simply making choices that do not serve you.
There’s a difference 😉🤷♀️
I’ll leave that with you.

DO YOU HAVE A SOLID SUPPORT SYSTEM?
Can you sit down at the end of the day and debrief ? Off load ? Vent to people around you who GENUINELY care.
People who will listen and HEAR you. Not just be there and offer advice you never needed or asked for.
Check in and notice who is around you, how are these people influencing your life? Hopefully bringing joy, love, encouragement and wanting what’s BEST for you.

Sometimes we can’t prep, sometimes transport gets the better of us, or traffic slows us down, your kids made you run late, you over slept and we simply don’t have the time 🤷♀️ hey ho - THAT IS LIFE !
Here are some easy, grab and go breakfasts that I just LOVE!
Bircher - add some almonds and a protein shake to make it a complete meal 👌🏼
Croissant 🥐 Popping into has never been so exciting! All butter croissant, mini FAGE yogurt and some strawberries 🍓 perfect 🤩
porridge, add some FAGE, cranberries and almonds (which you can grab in Pret too)
