Testing On The Track... 🏃‍♀️

Unfortunately no PBs yesterday, but it’s ok... To be expected as I haven’t done any speed work since March and you can expect to be good at something if you don’t practice it! 🐢

If you’ve got goals adding testing into your programme is a good way to see where you’re at, set a base line, measure your performance and programme future training sessions accordingly 🏆

A couple of months ago and I discussed how men and women should train differently. Tomorrow, we are taking it one step further and really diving into what happens during each stage of the menstural cycle. We will be discussing how to make the most out of your training throughout the month and how to fuel yourself to aid recovery and overall health.
Whether your a man or a women, I encourage you to tune in to tomorrow’s seminar. This is still a topic that is very rarely discussed and we at .fitness are on a mission to help spread the word.

Sessions like Thursday's is an attempt to help people fill the gaps in their knowledge and hopefully, go someway to redressing the balance, because there can be no true equality in sport until we understand the challenges each athlete faces, whether they be male or female.

With the weather become colder and the days becoming shorter motivation can fluctuate...

Last week .Fitness hosted a seminar about consistency and motivation with training. If you missed it, it’s well worth a listen on catch up👂

Remember the goals you set yourself... dig deep through these winter months, persevere and you’ll be rewarded with all your hard work by achieving what you set out to do! 💪

National Fitness Day & Throwing It Back To The Time I Cycled For 24 Hours Straight! 🚴‍♀️🕐

Fitness means something different to everyone. But for me it means making sure my body is ready for whatever I throw at it. 💪

Whether that is running for the bus, going for a long walk in the countryside, taking the stairs and not the lift or doing something silly like sitting on a bike for a stupidly long period of time!! 🏃‍♀️🚣‍♀️🧗‍♀️🥎🏓⛷🏋️‍♀️

Week 1 of Ironman Training Complete ✅

A great week of getting back into the swing of it and some cracking programming from Rich .fitness
Finished the week with a beaut ride through the country roads in West Sussex 🚴‍♀️

One week down, many more to go... here is to hoping all training weeks go as well as this one! 🤞

Format:
Three rounds - Upper/Core/Lower
Do each exercise in each round 3 times for 45 on 15 off
After the 3rd round, 60 seconds rest and then move onto the next body part!

7 Day Running Challenge... 🏃‍♀️
Last week I ran every day for 7 days, I varied the speeds and the distances and loved each and every run.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I ran for more than a few days in a row. Let alone enjoyed 7/7 runs!

It was amazing to support and be supported by other family members who were also taking part in the challenge. Everyone got stuck in and continued to push themselves throughout the week.

Why we did the challenge:
• Increase fitness levels
• Get out and about
• Work together as a team
• Push ourselves to see what could be achieved

If you’re looking for that extra push and support or want a challenge get in contact... I’m here to help!

In other news I’m starting a new challenge next week... any guesses on what that could be? 👀
