I love this picture. De Minaur played an amazing match, and 100% deserved to winβ¦..BUTβ¦..heβs playing arguably the best player on tour at the moment πͺπ½
I think that might be the most impressive thing about Alcarazβs game. Not the flashy drop shots or slap forehands, but his resiliency and absolute refusal to give up in every match he plays. He has had so many close matches this year, and thereβs no way in every one of them that heβs won he would say he was the better player on the court. After winning this match he said, βI was lucky!β π
I would agree he was lucky, but when you stay positive and never give up (which are both entirely in your control to do every time you step on the court)β¦..luck will find you quite often π―

I am proud to announce the very first Prospect Tennis Recruiting Showcase is officially happening! π
This event is happening in partnership with our friends over and we could not be more excited about this collaboration! π€
All of the details for this event are posted on the UTR tournament page, but this event will be hosted at Rome Tennis Center on July 30th-August 1st and we currently have over 40 college coaches who have confirmed they will be attending and the list grows by the day! π―
The most updated list of coaches will always be on the UTR tournament page, but so far the list consists of schools like Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, USF, Virginia Tech, Emory, Georgetown, West Florida, Columbus State, and Sewanee to name a few! π€―
You will be playing a total of 4 college dual matches over the weekend, which if you arenβt aware will consist of 1 set to 6 no ad doubles followed immediately by best 2 out of 3 sets (10 point for the third) singles match. πͺπ½
Why we are doing this format is because college coaches will not only want to see your tennis ability, but they will want to see how you operate and play in the format and team dynamic that you will in college ππ½
If college tennis (at any level) is what you envision the next step of your tennis journey being, then this is the event for you! The link will be in our bios , and we look forward to seeing you all there! πΎ

Across all sports it stays the same: learn from your failures, and use them as fuel to work harder π―
