Most people don't realise that weapons training is part of K*k Sool Won™. 🦸‍♂️

Jool B**g (that’s the Korean term for nunchaku), staffs, swords. They are all part of the traditional Korean martial arts curriculum, and students start learning weapons at blue belt level.

But it is not just about the weapons themselves. The real learning is in the focus, coordination, and self-control that weapons training demands. You simply cannot swing a Jool B**g without paying attention.

This is what a regular class at K*k Sool Won™ of Erith looks like once students start progressing through the belts. It is one of the things that makes this art genuinely different from most martial arts schools in the area.

We have spaces available in our children’s classes for ages 7 to 12. First two sessions are completely free.

If you have a child who would love to try something like this, message us to book their free class. See you on the mat! 💪

I often talk about how community is important to our club. But community doesn't stop at our club. Today the Sevenoaks club kindly invited ourselves and others from across London to join them for a special class around Korean archery and knife throwing.

It was a great day and thank you for inviting us Master Andy!

This weekend is our monthly workshop.

👊 This months theme is hand strikes and blocking 👊

See you all on Sunday!

Our monthly workshop is tomorrow. We'll be talking about self-defence techniques, in particular the importance of how to control your partner throughout the technique.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

I started martial arts because I was being bullied as a kid.

What I found was much bigger than self-defence. I found confidence. Discipline. Something that was genuinely fun to do. A place where I could keep improving, even when life felt difficult.

That experience stayed with me, and it's a big part of why K*k Sool Won of Erith exists today. I wanted to create a school where children, teenagers, and adults could build those same qualities for themselves — in a place that feels welcoming, supportive, and honest.

People often come to us because they want to get fitter or learn to protect themselves. They stay because they see what training changes in them as a person.

If you'd like to come and meet us, the first two sessions are completely free. Just message us to book. 💪

If you've never done martial arts before, walking into a first class can feel a bit daunting. So here's exactly what to expect.

You'll be met at the door and introduced to the group. There's no uniform needed for the first few sessions — just comfortable clothing, bare feet, and a bottle of water.

Before anything else, we bow in. Students line up, bow to the flags, and step onto the mat together. Then comes the warm-up: joint rotations, some cardio, stretching. After that we move into the main session. Beginners work alongside more experienced students, but at their own pace. You won't be put in the deep end.

We keep a 1-to-10 instructor-to-student ratio, which means you get proper attention, especially in those early sessions when you're finding your feet.

At the end, everyone bows out and shakes hands. That's it. You'll know within that first hour whether it's for you.

Your first two sessions are completely free. Message us to book and we'll let you know everything you need before you arrive. 🥋

Summer holidays are just around the corner, and if you've ever thought about trying martial arts, this is a brilliant time to come along.

Classes continue through the summer here at K*k Sool Won of Erith, and we always love welcoming new faces when the school term ends. There's something great about starting over summer: more time to settle in, get to know everyone, and build some real foundation before September.

For kids especially, keeping something active and purposeful going through the holidays can make a big difference. They get to make new friends, build confidence, and come back to school in September feeling a bit taller than when they left.

We train every Monday and Wednesday evening at Erith Leisure Centre. Your first two sessions are completely free.

If you'd like to book a spot for your child, teen, or yourself, just message us and we'll sort it out. See you on the mat! 💪

Congratulations to all our students who passed their grading assessments last week!

It was a fantastic day - full of sweat and incredible effort! You all did amazing.

Wear those new belts and stripes with pride!

Sunday is our quarterly grading. This is opportunity for students to demonstrate their martial art knowledge and skills to prove that they're ready for their next belts.

Remember the two most important things:
🧠 Show your best etiquette - be respectful to your instructors and others
💪 Have a positive attitude - try your best and don't give up if it gets difficult

See you all Sunday!
