How good is your grip? With help from our Head of Performance, Gareth Cole, The Guardian explores what your grip strength says about your physical strength and overall well-being. 'Good grip is integral to so many sports. Whenever you need to hold on to an object, apply force to an object, pull yourself towards something, or pull something towards yourself, you are recruiting the muscles in the forearm and hand that facilitate grip. A single leg press is a unilateral variation of the bilateral leg press exercise. It is a powerful compound lower-body exercise that targets your quads, glutes, hamstrings, and calves.Single-leg exercises promote strength and balance on both sides by isolating the muscles on your right and left sides.

Find your strength!
Pranayama is the name for all yoga breathing practices. Alternate-nostril breathing is just one type of Pranayama. By controlling your breath with focused attention, alternate-nose breathing helps to calm the body and mind, which is why it is used in many mindfulness relaxation methods.
This practice is particularly beneficial in relieving stress and anxiety, and with regular practice it has been shown to bring better balance to your nervous system.
