a day in the life of a London based yoga teacher who kept forgetting that the task at hand was to film the day🙈
this day was chaos, i crashed out the day before and this day was like the dust settling again and trying to regulate. what made me feel better was teaching and moving my body
i taught a 1-1, it was at their home so i couldnt take you in with me. a group class at moreyoga which i love teaching at and some admin because these classes don’t promote themselves!
and i realised i spelt appointment wrong but im not going to change it so enjoy that

i think the last one is the most important for me
i’ve linked my 3-day reset in my bio so you can start making little shifts that create big change, no more overwhelming yourself with a complete rebrand just small actionable steps 🫂
👉🏽 a moment for me first thing before any screens
i talk about this a lot so you probably know the answer but don’t let your phone put you in a bad mood before you’ve even had a chance to fully wake up. set the tone of the day yourself!
👉🏽 making my bed and putting in effort
it’s one of your first tasks of the day. you do it sloppy, rushed and without care then the actions that follow will be the same. make your bed in the same way you want your day to go
👉🏽 affirmations while i do my skincare + brushing teeth
the action of taking care of your skin and teeth is an act of self care so make it into a ritual where you tell yourself affirmations
👉🏽 using my calendar, notion and reminders to plan my week
this is a massive one for me, it stops me from feeling overwhelmed, anxious or forgetting things. especially running my own business i need to stay on top of things
👉🏽 prioritising movement not just yoga but walking too
walking clears my head so much, i loving walking to and from class it allows me to feel grounded
👉🏽 intentionally spending time alone
i’m an introvert and i best recharge when alone. its not personal to anyone i just need a day or at least an afternoon of silence, non verbal, on mute

running around London teaching yoga 🤸🏽♀️
this was a busy day and if you thought i had the stamina to get up at 6am and make it to a 7pm class without a nap- your’e funny!
teaching corporate yoga for a few workplaces and a cosy evening flow and restore at the studio 🫂

actually i am just human with quirks, needs and bad habits but i dont think i’m doing a terrible job at wearing this human costume

spend the day with me as London based yoga teacher🥰
i taught a chair yoga class, a lunchtime vinyasa at the studio and a 1-1.
3 is my sweet spot of classes in a day, 5 max before i start getting my left & rights mixed up 🫠

May recap 🥞🥓👩❤️💋👨🤸🏽♀️✨
finding balance between a healthy yoga lifestyle & enjoying + indulging

the last one is a little controversial 🙈
1. fetus position,
traditionally done after savasana but it can be visited at any point in the practice. a safe little ball, a chance of rebirth and renewal, what are you leaving behind and what are you inviting in?
2. supported forward fold
if you don’t have a bolster, a pillow or blanket under the knees work well. the goal is not to reach your feet, its to slowly fold inwards in your own time. think supported and held, not forced and rushed
3. childs pose
a classic, consider having your arms back to get a feeling of being cocooned. your safe little bubble that you can always revisit
4. waterfall with the wall
a gentle inversion to soothe your mind and boost circulation. this one can be particularly good before bed if you struggle to quiet the mind + relax
5. headstand
a little controversial but headstand takes a lot of focus and flips your circulation which once you’re confident in can be like a calming reset for your nervous system. if you’re not there with headstand waterfall has similar benefits!
should i do a part 2?🧘🏽♀️🌸✨

a few fixes for the overthinkers that want to invite in a little more calmness.
🫂if you’re feeling anxious, try box breathing. Imagine a box/square, inhale left side 4, hold along the top 4, exhale right side 4, hold along the bottom for 4. Try 7 rounds.
🫂and when my mind is loud and i cant relax i set an intention, my reason why, a purpose. That reframes things and when i think about what came before or what comes after it helps me land back to the present.
🫂not many people are good at sitting still, me included. shake, stretch, dance or move before you decide to sink into stillness. You’ll find you’ve shaken off the excess energy and feel less fidgety.
🫂google just told me we have 6,000 thoughts per day, 95% of them being repetitive and many leaning toward negativity- that’s crazy! No wonder we all feel like we’re about to explode, grab your journal and get some of them out.
which one will you try?
