I raced my 100mile debut at the weekend, which was along the South Downs Way, I absolutely loved the route.

It was a pretty bold move so soon after only finishing a 300 mile race in the US just 10 weeks before and going into the race, I was NERVOUS because I genuinely didn’t know how my body was going to respond. The Mojave took a lot out of me, there was still that uncertainty of whether I’d recovered enough and whether I’d be able to put together the race I knew I was capable of….that’s why I’m so pleased with how it went, more than the result, I’m proud of how my body held up throughout the day.

I’ve loved standing on competitive start lines this year and testing myself against some incredible athletes, but after a big few months of training and racing, it’s now time to rest up and figure out what’s next.

🧭 I spent the whole race running off feel rather than pace. I wore the T-Rex 3 Pro and just had the nav screen for the entire run, which stopped me thinking about pace and allowed me to focus on the course, my effort, and how I was feeling throughout the day✨

Throwing it back to a family holiday in Sicily a couple of weeks ago and sharing some love for one of those things I genuinely wouldn’t be without.

I travel a lot, so I’ve become pretty ruthless about what I pack. If something makes life easier, it stays. If it doesn’t, it’s gone. My Suri toothbrush comes with me on every single trip.

I used to hate travelling with an electric toothbrush. They were bulky, always needed charging and took up too much space.

But Suri is different.

The battery lasts for over a month, and the UV cleaning travel case keeps everything clean and compact when I’m on the move.

Whether I’m at home, away racing, or travelling somewhere new, it’s one of those things I never leave behind.

PS: My family have been long time SURI fans, so shoutouttt to my auntie and sister for joining me in a group teeth brushing session😂

I just ran 100 miles just 10 weeks after running from La to Vegas.

I am so grateful for my body holding up this first half of the year - it’s been big🙈

Went into this race with zero expectations, carrying inevitable fatigue and I finished in 17 hours 33minutes - while I have ran multi day longer efforts before, that was my first ever official 100mile race and so I am very pleased (and suprised with my legs!)✨

Thank you to my amazing crew, Niamh Cameron and Poppy Collingwood you are totally INCREDIBLE and it was so nice to have mum and dad back in the gang✨

Steph Knapman - Run | Media | Travel and Poppy Collingwood thank you for pacing me, total⭐️’s🤍

Centurion Running your races are just fantastic and your volunteers/staff are the best!

…also championing Sarah Webster who broke the British Trail Record - a hugeeee inspiration🚀

Matt Stone captured lots of the race so I’m excited to share some more of it🫶

Some Monday thoughts and some ☕️

A reminder that this sport isn’t always pretty. There are highs, lows, breakthroughs, setbacks, and plenty of messy moments in between. Keep showing up, keep trusting the process, and keep going❤️
