London East Kings won by 71 runs (19 over for time)

London East Kings beat Edgware Rising Stars by 71 runs in a thrilling match at Edgware on Sunday.

The Kings won the toss and elected to bat first, and they made a solid start with openers Sufian Ahmed and Mamunur Rashid putting on a partnership of 50 for the first wicket. Ahmed was the more aggressive of the two, scoring 56 off 27 balls, while Rashid made 22.

The Kings lost a few wickets in the middle overs, but they were able to recover as Foysal Syed scored 33 off 18 balls besides that thanks to a late flurry of runs from Abu Bokkar, who scored 32 off 18 balls. The Kings finished their innings on 232 for 10.

In reply, Edgware got off to a good start, with openers Mehedi Hasan and Md K a Faisal Imam putting on 26 for the first wicket. However, the Kings struck back with three quick wickets, and Edgware were never able to recover. They were bowled out for 161 in 19 overs.

Sufian Ahmed was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. He scored 56 runs and took 3 wickets for 35 runs. Zahedul Hassan was the best bowler for the Kings, taking 4 wickets for 17 runs.

The win moves the Kings up to third place in the league table, while Edgware remain in fifth place.
